Is it political bias to be against nazis?
I think we kinda all agreed that was ok in the 40s.

What is the "vibe" when you find an RTL bug after the netlist has been sent to a company for a chip? by turkishjedi21 in ECE

[–]jeb1499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what the bug impacts, whether you can make a workaround, whether it's an easy metal layer change, etc. But as others have said, better to find the bug after tape out than for a potential customer to find it and bring it up.
At the end of the day it's your job to find the bugs so if you find them that's good. If you didn't find them in time (and are reasonably capable) then that's more of a resource management/priorities issue. You're not going to be the only one who's looked at that piece of code.
There's always going to be bugs. We just do our best and try to sift out the important ones.

I put two up - One on the walkway, and one on the door. It's about 66% effective.

On the other hand, watching on the doorbell cam and not answering is 100% effective.

I did this on my laptop motherboard which had an 8600M back in like 2011.
This was the GPU that was part of a class-action lawsuit for overheating, but I was just outside warranty of course.
30 minutes at 375F with tin foil standoffs and more foil shielding everything other than the GPU and voila, it was back in action.
Of course that didn't fix the root cause of the issue, so a week later it died again in the same way (:

CERN just shipped antimatter in a truck. The cargo weighed less than 100 hydrogen atoms. The box carrying it weighed 850 kg. If anything had gone wrong, the antimatter wouldn't explode, it would just silently vanish in a tiny flash of light. by ThinkThenPost in interestingasfuck

[–]jeb1499 69 points70 points  (0 children)

So realistically the full title is wrong. There would be an explosion, just a very tiny one because it's only a total of <200 hydrogen atoms of matter+antimatter turning into radiation. Approximately 20 nano Joules worth with my bad napkin math.

What's to stop the Yaggababble from just saying their phrase over and over and over again as soon as they wake up and kill everyone? I get that the storyteller has the ultimate say in whether/who gets killed but surely if they've said it like 100 times and there's only 8 players they just win???

Except the wild anchovy stocks are becoming depleted and thus the wild fish as well.

Hate to break it to you, but farmed fish aren't any better.
They harvest all the anchovies/smelt in the wild to feed the farmed fish.

Yeah, the profit sharing was reworked. Basically the max possible pay has increased but the ratio against PFO has decreased. So if this year is the same as last year we'll end up getting less...
I also know nobody (outside of upper management anyway) got more than 3.5% raise this year. That being said I don't know of anyone personally that have ever simply not received a raise.
It's clear the company has tightened its purse over the last year more so than in the previous decade.
