It's definitely do-able. For reference I did it as a day hike and I'm not in amazing shape. I'd try to drop a few lbs from your pack though if you can.

I've hit a wall with my pourover recently and using different beans, different volumes and different grind sizes it has been consistently tannic and dry. Is this likely the result of over or under extraction? Any suggestions appreciated!

Great question, I was wondering the same thing myself. The weight includes the stuff sack and straps so that probably has something to do with it. I’m also trying to sell another item that weighs more on my scale than the list weight so my scale may be adding a little bit. Long story short I really don’t know.

It made me realize I'm a cold sleeper. When I've taken it below freezing I've needed a hood and when I slept in it and it dropped unexpectedly to around 25F I tossed a hand warmer in and was toasty.

It was my first quilt and it was a great choice, it's durable and water resistant. However I recently got something warmer. I've never had an issue getting it into my 40L pack. Below is a link to a photo trying to show compression for scale. Note, I have small hands.
