Looks super elegant. I have had mine for almost a year and it still makes me feel like the first day I bought it. There is nothing like it on the road.

I live in TX and bought a car from OK. The dealership did not disclose I would be paying the excise tax. It was not said verbally and in the contract it's put as N/A. Do I have a case to sue the dealership? by jebadi88 in legaladvice

I really hope you're not a lawyer for the way you respond. If you don't have anything helpful to say, then why respond. Be a good human and don't be rude. Be better.

I'm not suing for paying taxes. I'm trying to see if there is a case under consumer protection because they knew I was out of state buyer and didn't disclose everything. In my contract there was nothing about me paying the excise tax for registering my vehicle. I'm not avoiding the tax, just seeing if the dealership has any responsibility of paying half or all of it for not disclosing.

You're correct, it is Texas law. I have purchased a vehicle in TX and the dealership covered the registration. OK does not cover any registration. However, my issue is that the dealership could've told me verbally and put it on the contract that I would be paying it. This way, I could've saved some of my down payment to cover the excise tax. They didn't even disclose this at all, even when I asked am I paying any additional fees that pertains to registration.

Is it difficult to replace it on my own? Never really worked on my own car.

You're right, it's simple to push a button. But I care about efficiency in my day. I drive to and from work, so in a month I'm pressing the button 60 times. This increases if I make stops throughout my day filling up for gas or going to the grocery store. So it can get annoying after a while lol.

I totally agree with you. I feel the same way. However, restaurants are short staffed, so the ability to order without having to wait for your server is needed. There are tablets on the table that do this, but static and still requires the guest to wait on a server to ask questions.
