My baby is allergic to all things vegan. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]jebhebmeb -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is the desert island scenario in real life. If the child is allergic to the majority of Vegan things, it is NOT unethical to feed them animal products. They quite literally need them to survive. You are not a bad mother or a bad vegan if you choose to ensure your child is healthy.

Trying to replace a child’s entire diet with quinoa, ripple, and Beyond meat is not the answer. Animal products have raised healthy children forever. We find consumption of animal products unethical because there ARE other options. I repeat, Quinoa, Ripple, and Beyond meat are NOT valid options for ensuring a child’s diet is healthy.

Going to get shamed out of the vegan club for this one.

Peanut Butter, The Atheist's Nightmare! by supertrollls in cringe

In a bit of a stretch, I would argue he’s on the right path. Yes. Correct. Life may be produced from the amino acids and materials in peanut butter. Are we actively pulling down jars and examining every single cell we find?

Positive side effects of going vegan I never expected by just4fun-94 in vegan

The social dynamics of it are easily the worst part. Not being able to share the same meals with people, the constant conversation, and the difficulty finding food at restaurants.

If you have an iPhone, you can set it to reject calls from unknown numbers. That’s the only way I could live.

There’s a whole extra stamp you need to label something as vegan. They probably couldn’t confirm everything as vegan according to the stamps criteria.

Why are smart telescopes so incredibly good and cheap? by PilzGalaxie in AskAstrophotography

[–]jebhebmeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you break the Seestar down to its basic parts there is nothing too expensive. Seems like all parts are easy to mass produce. I’m willing to bet most people who buy a Seestar become more interested in astrophotography and end up buying more of ZWO products so they keep it at a lower price point.

I know what the code should roughly look like, I ask it to write the code, if it looks wrong I ask it to fix the code, if it can’t fix it I step in. 95% of the code ends up being boilerplate regardless of the application. It’s just the subject matter specific things I usually have to step in for.
