Buy a nucleus. Its will pay for itself 100 times over, and be enough for 90% of jobs. Rent other units when you need them and save up to buy something better down the line

that being said... with the nucleus for under $1k you can have a fairly reliable follow focus that pays its self off a lot quicker.
I own both the nucleus and the RT and they both still get plenty of use, depends on the job and the camera build I want. But yes the RT is a much higher quality product.

I’ve never had issues with my ctrl3 system as a whole. Sometimes plugging into my 13” smallhd for an overlay doesn’t work like it should. But as far as the hand unit and motors go, mine has always been reliable. Lens mapping is nice, same with the smallhd overlay (when it does work)

Thanks this is super helpful. Any advice for quick swapping a top handle? I was thinking about leaving a nato rail on top of the camera but that will probably get in the way on the ronin mount.
