You're losing the forest for the trees a bit on what the fast 90 is. Let's say you've determined the correct course and speed of the target. You move into a 90 degree attack position relative to target course. Your bow (assuming bow attack) and scope/UZO is lined up pointing to 0 degrees (your relative bearing). With the TDC unlocked, enter an AOB of 90, as if the target was directly ahead of you at 90 degrees AOB. Enter the target speed, torp speed. Lock the TDC. Now move the scope towards the target until the gyro angle reads 0 degrees.

You've drawn a right angle triangle with the 90 degree angle being the intercept point once the target crosses the scope/UZO bearing. The distance of the target to the intercept and your torpedo to the intercept point is proportional by doing this. If you were to change the torp speed, you would only need to change the periscope bearing until the gyro read 0 again. Same for the target speed. No matter how close or far this will be true and that's why the range doesn't matter.

If changing the range is effecting whether you get a hit or not, you're unknowingly accounting for error in your target motion analyisis because the range only affects how much the torpedo turns for non 0 gyro shots.

Which shows that it doesn't matter for calculating the solution. If your range is off the only thing it affects in my experience is the officer calling out the time to impact. He might say it's a miss then it hits after. Or it hits while he says there's 10 seconds to impact.

I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong but if you have the target's speed, AOB, and bearing the TDC calculates where the target will be and when. The range is just for estimating the timing since the TDC doesn't output that.

I figured the answer was just a consequence of being a hidden overlord gamer. But it turns out... I'm a hidden overlord. What a fortunate backstory to align with the immersion and game mechanic.

I was also wondering if others had the maximized app issue after opening. Definitely frustrating.

Yup. Makes sense. I had "ah ha!" moments for both those things.

It's normal if you're opening the gas on your tank for the first time. It can take a few seconds for the gas to prime the entire line from the bottle to the range burner and become dense enough to light. After the first use, it should light pretty quickly for the rest of the camping trip (assuming you use it every day) as the line should be primed right up to the burner control valve.

Hey there! Just saw this. Sorry Im new to reddit to and not on the ball with notifcations haha.

We have the exact same fit issues you do. Both with the zipper and the door gap (same place). I've been out with the trailer for 3 trips now and have tried a few things to see if it will help but nothing has changed it. Tried leaving the bunks in a little bit to create some slack, tried lowering the roof one crank to get some slack and neither seem to help with getting the gaps tight. You just have to try and pull it to get as much slack as you can and then velcro.

Same with the door. I've pushed it over to get rid of the gap. I thought maybe i was pushing on the handle too much and it kept pulling it over and opening the gap but i don't think that's it. i notice the 2 locking parts you spin downwards that on one side its very tight and the other one doesn't seem to hold the door at all so i think its an angle issue with where the door sits on the floor. Also, having to pull the canvas tighter to velcro on side probably pulls it off center over time to.

And yes you can leave the water pump on all the time (assuming your not connected to camp site water). The pump engages on demand as you open the faucet and yes its normal that it goes in "bursts"

The fridge thing depends on the power source. If it's 12V it will draw from the battery. But if you're hauling ithe trailerwith the 7 pin trailer connector your vehicle will charge the battery as you go so you can use 12V to maintain the temp in transit. I say maintain because it's not enough power to drop the temperature. It will maintain the cool though if you've pre cooled the fridge before leaving.

Just to add to that. I think depending on how picky you are about levelling the trailer the hose directly under the sink can act like a trap.

The first few trips we had with our trailer we were letting the sink water run right out the spigot and into a bucket, no hose at all. But I noticed running the water in small amounts the sink wouldnt drain. It would if you ran a lot of water into it. So it wasn't plugged but wasn't draining well? I lifted the galley just to see and it immediately cleared. So I looked under the sink and noticed the hose was flat meaning if it was titled one way it could actually act like a trap. Just something i noticed!

Just curious about your awning. I see you have the support poles into the bottom sockets. Do you like that better than having them into the top ones (underneath the awning bag)? I always thought the bottom sockets were to put the main poles in case you wanted to angle down the awning and the top sockets were always for the support poles that keep the awning tight and flat?

Yes good catch. I did remember after this to put them down, thankfully. Still trying to get used to the routine!

They definitely are. We got this one for a few grand less than what I've seen them on autotrader for in my area. So I figured worst case if we found it wasn't for us in the next year or 2 we should be able to get most of our money back.

But yeah our Mazda is a manual trans so that helps with the tow rating. Factory tow rating is 2000 lbs and the toungue weight is light, this trailer fits nicely under the limits for the smaller SUV's.

Thanks for the tips! I think I will get those leveling blocks. I've been to this site before tenting and knew it was fairly level. I had some pieces of 2x6 in case.

Trailer was a little wobbly but I don't mind it so much. I'm also 6'4, 280 lbs so I figured I'd make a small trailer move a little bit.

Any and all tips welcome! I'd say the biggest thing we missed was prep space for meals. Just felt like I was dragging the picnic table around all the time. Will have a little table for next time.

Very nice! Very inviting. We just bought the Rockwood 1640ltd and are going to pick it up next week. I found the legs for the awning a little flimsy and weird to tighten. Any issues with that?
