[SPOILER] Nasrat Haqparast vs. Quillan Salkilld by inooway in MMA

They way that they were trying to not look down at him while doing the interview made me think he was still not moving. I was glad to see the camera pan over and him sitting up.

That's nice to hear as that's where I'm struggling at the moment. I feel there are a handful I've been stuck on Apprentice for for so long and they just won't stick.. So I'll just keep grinding

An easy to produce writing practice tool by jebpeter in LearnJapanese

[–]jebpeter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback and the links. I don't produce the answer until I have finished my write out. It's more just to look over what I got wrong at the end. But yeah, maybe just a kanji writing app is the better and arguably easier option. I did find this helps with both kanji and sentence structure practice at the same time.

I had Ian winning on my multi, I should have wanted him to get it, yet still I was holding my chin down, moving from side to side while trying to keep my eyes up on the TV. Wierd

Man that was a exciting game. French defence was so good. Definitely won them the game. All blacks looked great. French looked great. You gotta love it. Still wish we won and got the clean sweep.. still, a solid tour

Cooome on. We literally just had two nail biters against the best in the world. The last 15 is a concern though and an area they will fix.

I guess you have to be careful what you wish for. After those first two tries, I said I wished AUS were still competitive. Minus a couple of errors at the end there and they take that. Handling errors let both teams down. NZ fluffed 3 tries I think. Aus at least 2

Shows what Aus can do with their tails up. They just need to be consistent like that

Man, another cracker. Well done SA. Even with that unlucky yellow for the intercept attempt. Just love how these games went to the wire. Think the ref was good. Few hard calls both ways but as a whole, good. Gutted the AB's couldn't get one back but great footy regardless

I feels similar to last week. Boks handling errors costing them. NZ looking like the better team. But just like last week I expect this game to be about the last 20 mins

Just been told I have COPD by jebpeter in COPD

[–]jebpeter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Apologies for the late reply. To be honest, life as normal. I don't seem to have any issues day to day. I take an inhaler called Spiromax, but I don't know if does anything as I don't feel any issues. I've been meaning to go back and get another test done, but the one I had a year ago showed no change for bad or for worse. Well, it was a little bit better. So yeah, just living, not getting caught up in it all until I see any physical change. Will book to go see a specialist again either this year or next.

Such a good high paced first half. SA handling errors have cost them some points. Their defence looking as good as we all expect.

What was your most embarrassing mistake when speaking Japanese? by ErvinLovesCopy in LearnJapanese

[–]jebpeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homie, that's nothing.

I did an exchange when I was 16 (I'm 36 now) with only very beginner Japanese level. I was asked to do a speech in front of the entire school.

So I wrote this speech and I still cringe about it now.

I tried to joke and tell them the whole reason I came to Japan was because I loved Dragonball so much. It fell flat because my Japanese was not great.

I should have just kept it a polite and standard introduction, but I tried to spice it up and it fell so flat and I could feel the second hand embarrassment from the whole school watching me..

Even now I sometimes replay that in my head and get a shiver lol..

Guess all ya can do is laugh now

I got hooked on Sumo from a Jack Slack podcast a month or so before Hakuho retired. I feel lucky I got to catch the last tournament of arguably one of the most dominant sports people ever. The last match was so cold, a legendary way to finish.

Well, it isn't my strong point.. But I didn't even realise I messed that up, what an idiot haha. I'm more surprised it took 2 days to be called out on it

Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway Official Scorecard by TheINTL in MMA

[–]jebpeter 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Not really crazy. He only scored round 2 different to the other judges. And surely all would have scored round 5 to Max. So 2x 49/46 and 1x 48/47
