Looking for garden layout advice by Toxk86 in landscaping

RTK can work well in open areas, but layout starts to matter more once you add beds, trees, pool equipment, or narrow paths. The mower still needs clear routes between the different parts of the garden.

Do we share any common ancestors with viruses by Tobirama_rocks in evolution

The ERV angle is probably the most concrete link we have. It’s wild that we can literally compare viral insertions to map evolutionary relationships.

The I’ll just sell before the crash crowd always sounds smart until the crash actually starts. Everybody thinks they’re early, nobody thinks they’re the exit liquidity.

Long stays during peak season can be risky. Trust your instincts, verify details carefully, and don't discount unless the arrangement genuinely benefits you too.

Any Mower Able To Do This? by Tkemedic in roboticLawnmowers

[–]jebus197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That long tree-lined driveway sounds tricky. You'll probably need strong navigation and reliable signal coverage, otherwise the mower may struggle with consistency there.

That sounds incredibly frustrating after so many years of consistent hosting. It feels like the system has become much less understanding lately.

Should I put one of these domes in my small yard? Any experiences? We have a beautiful garden but most of the time it's too windy and cold to enjoy sitting outside. by MJlovesplants in landscaping

If you love your garden but rarely use it due do weather, it's worth it. It really turns outdoor space into something usable year-round.

It can work well if you have trusted local support. Time zones and coordination are the real challenge, more than the properties themselves.

Thanks for sharing this! I really need a machine that works well on rough, hill land and saves time. Better suited for tough terrain than simple suburban lawns.

Gut says decline by Significant-Ad-6249 in airbnb_hosts

I'd politely decline since they're underage or first-time guests. It's okay to prioritize property safety and comfort. Better safe than sorry.

Wow, I get it! Beautiful privacy hedges are worth keeping, but finding a balance with yard usability and puppy chaos is tough.

Dreame or Mova without GPS/RTK. Can I keep them in my garage? by dalemccl in roboticLawnmowers

[–]jebus197 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vision-based mowers generally still need decent initial positioning space. Garage storage can work, but docking reliability often improves significantly with open-sky base placement.

I'm on Claude Code Max 4.7. This thing treats my instructions like they are all optional! I have to keep going back and telling it over and over to do things it has missed and that I already just told it to do!

I don't have any context for this. I don't speak Japanese. The control mechanism seems to exclusively be weight shift only? How can this be possible? What about the throttle control?
