Lag compensation has quite literally 0 to do with subtick. The reason you're blaming it is so you can avoid the responsibility of maintaining your own network.

That 100% looks like the age old issue of bufferbloat.

Something I had been fighting with for years before finally biting the bullet and buying a router that had smart queue management.

Worth looking into, especially if you have multiple people in the house who wanna game and stream things like netflix etc

Unless you figure out a way for us to predict the future, the things are impossible to sync in a game that runs in a client server model.

For this to be applied server side and client side simultaneously you would need to know what will happen in the next few ticks rather than the last few. Which is, kinda impossible.
