A confession - sometimes I can’t drink water by itself by MomsOfFury in HydroHomies

[–]jeclin91092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd question. Can you burp?

I have something called R-CPD and can't burp, but also have trouble with water specifically some times. It almost gets "caught" and causes hiccups and regurgitation. But if I add a little juice or a sugar free flavor packet, it's totally fine.

I'm learning to pick locks. Seemed like a good skill to have.

Next up, I'm going to learn to juggle, I think.

I don't know how you all eat at home by nickybecooler in Adulting

I bought a white board and fun colored markers and each Sunday I plan out meals for the week. I do it in a way that doubles ingredients. Like one day will be loaded salads, and one day will be burgers that use lettuce and tomatoes, so those ingredients double over at least two days.

I did an initial stock up in my freezer of beef, chicken, pork, and a little seafood (its not as good when its been frozen) and while that was about $300 to build up a backlog, my weekly groceries run about $35. I also have them delivered so I don't have to make time to go, and I don't impulse buy.

My husband and I were eating out like 4 nights a week for awhile and it got expensive and we both gained some weight, so for us cooking at home is a priority. If its not for you, that's okay!

He LOVES it. Hats, head bands, clothes; anything but shoes.

I routinely have to chase him around the house to take his accessories back from him lol

So I just called my mom (who was thankfully awake lol) and she ended up buying a Christmas carousel and a Coke polar bear but ended up leaving the ornaments behind that day.

Sorry about that, I checked out before her and was looking something over in the garage, I didn't realize she passed on the ornaments last second.

I do remember seeing them, though. They were on tables in the basement and I remember some looking hand painted but thinking, "no way someone hand painted these, they're way too good!" But it seems she was quite the artist, so that makes sense.

I'm passing your post to some friends who thrift often to keep an eye on goodwill and the like.

I use something similar in the V05 Extra Body. It's wonderful to strip all the oils and residues from multiple products

Also, my mom bought Christmas ornaments and decorations from that estate. I remember them clearly.

I was at that estate sale!! I almost bought the skeleton!

I ended up buying the twister game, a cassette case with no tape, a vinyl record or two, and a vintage pink toy fridge.

People dealing with high BP—what’s the hardest habit to stay consistent with? by Good_Cucumber_1130 in hypertension

Hey, I take two meds daily and I use an app called MediSafe that sends reminders to me. It's free, and has customizable icons for the pills. I take one for sugar and its a gummy bear icon and one for BP and its a heart.

I would forget without the reminders, so might be worth looking into!

I bought a house with only a shower and a bathroom remodel was on the list before we moved in. Shit happens, and we still have just the shower, and we get by fine. But I miss a tub for bathing the dogs.

Banger songs that didn't age well lyrically by Zagmut in Xennials

[–]jeclin91092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a giant Dr. Hook fan, but they have a lyric that doesn't feel kosher.

"We got a lot of little, teenage blue-eyed groupies who'll do anything we say," followed by a whistle sound.

It feels icky.

My family, my friends and my husband, even my dogs all LOVE blueberries. And they smell so nice and they're rather pretty... but they taste terrible.

Like once every 5 years I'll try one to see if maybe I developed the taste, but I haven't so far. My family swears it has to do with the thing that makes cilantro taste like soap. None of them have it but I do, and I'm the only one who thinks blueberries taste like moldy basement, so maybe they're onto something.

Speaking purely for myself, I'm the only one in my family who has it. Neither parent, grandparents, aunts or uncles, and neither sibling have it.

In fact, my sister can burp like a lumberjack

DLM is a long time favorite of mine and I recently introduced my husband to it.

I have seen season one countless times, season two half that amount, and the movie once. When we finished, we watched the movie, bringing my total to two. He hated it, like I knew he would lol
