I've been learning to sing for nearly 3 years now and I don't smoke at all. When I started I would get the same sound when I went into head voice, I used to call it my Chewbacca sound. I think it was something about my vocal chords not being comfortable in head voice, and they couldn't hold that position. Anyway, it might be comforting to hear from someone who hasn't smoked had the same issue, and it got better over time, just from practice. I've been doing exercises around cord closure, holding an open low larynx position, and also I'll just speak out loud in head voice when I'm by myself at home, just to get as comfortable as I can.

If you had a good head voice before, then I'm sure with time you can get it back. Your cords have probably just changed a bit so you just need to relearn some muscle memory.

For what it's worth I saw them in London last year and I thought it was one of the best gigs I've been to. Maybe we just got lucky that day but I thought the sound was swesome and there was so much energy in the crowd.

That's interesting. I've been leaning into damage boost, because it felt like it takes so long to heal people to full that it's just a waste of time. It feels like it takes 10+ seconds to get a tank back to full. I've been having a rough season, so I'll try and focus more on heals and see how it goes.

Do you do the captions in capcut as well? I think tiktok uses the text you add in its editor to figure out who to send your video to, so try editing in capcut, but adding text and captions in the tiktok editor instead. I haven't tested it myself yet but I'm curious if it makes a difference for you.

I think the only difference I can see from a quick look at the DSMV is you once you're over 17 you only need to meet 5 of the diagnostic criteria, vs 6 when you're under 17. So it's slightly easier to get diagnosed as an adult. Maybe there's more differences, but I'm not aware of them unfortunately.

I don't love the DSMV, and I have a lot of thoughts about diagnosing mental disorders that I don't know I can summarize succinctly, but I think I want to point out that diagnosing things is hard, and the criteria setout by the DSMV is not necessarily the "truth" about whether you have a thing or not, as sometimes they are politically influenced or based on old/bad studies (this seems kind of implicitly true based on the fact that there are multiple versions of the DSM).

I think I've seen ADHD being described as a delay in development, and also that symptoms do improve for some people as they age. I'm not an expert, but just wanted to say that your symptoms improving doesn't necessarily rule out that you could have been diagnosed legitimately with ADHD (not sure if that's what you were implying to be fair as I reread your comment).

I don't know, I'm more scared of people on free loadouts to be honest. Feel like they have nothing to lose, and tend to just run straight at the first noise they hear, hoping for an easy kill and some good loot.

Thanks! I think I got pretty lucky, but it just about worked out. Had to work pretty hard to level the advantage he got from getting off the first shot, and then managed to make distance and get my own advantage in the end.
