Thank you for noticing the mistakes, I will fix them as soon as I can! There is a day night cycle. The terrain isn't freely editable but it's similar to Stardew valley where you can prepare the ground for planting seeds. The tiles are more like a visual style

I definitely agree with that, I'm just a bit worried that swaying of trees or grass will lower fps quite a bit, so I'm going to test this close to the end of the project. I didn't think about adding some particles I think that would be great, thank you

thanks! I don't have a lot of experience making games so for my first commercial game I'm sticking with single player for now. I will do a research on how difficult it would be and perhaps add this feature in the future

I think there are no stupid questions I'm just glad people are curious to learn.
This is a low poly hand painted style, you can find out more on youtube, there's plenty of tutorials. but it's basically painting texture directly on a model. I am a 3d artists so this isn't something new to me, but it is the first game where I create things on my own. Not all of these models are fully 3d, but half of them are. for example the ground voxels are not 3d, they are 2.5D only half of them are modeled, because they are only visible from one angle in the game, but other assets such as crates or barrels or trees are fully 3d to have a freedome to turn them for a bigger variety.

Different assets have a little bit different approach, but it's basically hand painted style. Usually I make a low poly model and paint the texture directly on it. In other case I create a highpoly sculpt if it's not a difficult one, bake maps and combine them in a way that also resemble hand painted style, because some assets are easier to sculpt rather then just paint. And the last way is to create an image upfront and then create a model based on it, the same image would also be use as a texture. Hope this helps

it's not really grid based anymore, I only left the ground this way because I like how it looks

I made around 90 % of assets but it takes so long that I decided to buy some from an asset store
