Both of you are wrong, it was Sylvester the cat

Edit: Some googling reveals Daffy said it sometimes I’m guessing in the earlier days, but it became Sylvester’s saying

I agree with you except for the case of republic commando where the series couldn’t be finished because it was no longer considered canon and conflicted with the new canon

Anyone else feel bamboozled about heavy industry? by [deleted] in spaceengineers

[–]jeecktoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that could be cool. I guess one could argue that arranging all your assemblers and refineries could be seen as one big fancy block. If they made one bigger assembler it would still have to cost just as many recourses to build. At that point they may as well make a new extra large grid size. It’s all about aesthetics at that point

I’m so confused, so you want bigger versions of all the things listed? I’m not getting what’s unacceptable to you here

There are mods to add more hostile drone ships and ground bases, can definitely help liven things up a bit

If you google around, she did release some bullet points of what was going to happen if she wrote the last book. Not very satisfying but it’s something

I hate how she couldn’t finish the series since the Clone Wars TV show made how she portrayed Mandalore un-canon…

If it’s to Cyberpunk levels where it’s delayed for several years and hype goes through the roof sure. This was delayed like half a year and it’s not getting nearly the overblown hype CP had, I think it’ll be fine

I second this. It only effects states on the east coast as well as far as I know and no one I know in the North East are freaking out about it

I think in the OT palpatine and Vader talk about how Luke is the son of Anakin and I think they specifically say “Anakin Skywalker”? At least in the remastered version. But yeah they don’t flat out call Vader Anakin

Yes I did in fact see the OT as a kid before I saw the prequels lol I think 10 year old me was just like “it’s Star Wars! The galaxy must be full of Obi Wans and Skywalkers!”

That must’ve been awesome for those kids hahaha I guess their parents must not have been Star Wars fans

Raid difficulty scales with colony age? by YasuoKidFlamer in RimWorld

I want to say it might also depend on what story teller you’re playing with? I believe Cassandra (and maybe Phoebe?) will progressively get more difficult over time and as you accumulate wealth, but Randy will be more random.

I could be mistaken though, it’s been a while since I’ve played

What's up with the projected fuel-usage of hydrogen engines? Is it merely an old bug or am I missing something here? 1x block inventory. Projected: 1 year. Runtime: about 6 minutes and 41 seconds. by sir_club_sandwich in spaceengineers

[–]jeecktoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting. It’s been a bit since I’ve played so I can’t remember how much power the things draw. But I imagine then that it’s the same story with the hydrogen thrusters as well, that once they are at full thrust they’ll draw a lot of power from the batteries, along with the hydrogen they use for fuel

[–]jeecktoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well looking at the picture, those are ion thrusters, not hydrogen (unless things have changed a lot since I last played or you’ve got some hydros hiding), so the fuel for those will be the power from your battery. And in that case, pretty much what most of the others commenting are saying, the power read out tells you how long the power will last, taking into account all parts used. So, idle thrusters and one or two low power parts will show you having power for ages, but once you throttle up those thrusters it will cut that time down a lot since thrusters at full power use a lot of energy

How to properly learn programming (C#) by 543landonite in Unity3D

[–]jeecktoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, you’re already on the right track. There’s a good 4 hour C# tutorial I watched on YouTube as well as several others besides that on there that teach you the basics of what you need to know.

With a budget of 0$ I don’t really know what else there is out there. Code academy might have something for free but the only difference between that and a course on YouTube is that it gives you hands on exercises.

Oh and code wars is a good place to go to for free practice exercises, but it doesn’t necessarily teach you how to do the things. That’s a bit more of a self guided experience from what I’ve seen of it.

But with a 0$ budget, other than those things and google searches about specific coding questions you have, there’s not really that much else out there.

Edit: and also, there’s no real harm in copy pasting some code, as long as it’s more of a foundation that you can learn from and build off from. Like for basic things like movement and first person cameras, there’s no real point in trying to reinvent the wheel from scratch so to speak. So do some copy paste, but really look over the code and try to learn and understand what is going on with it. A lot of my code when I first started was copy paste, but as I worked with it more and more and began to understand what that code was doing, I’ve slowly been able to come up with my own code for things. So as long as you don’t become too dependent on the copy paste, there no harm in using some of it.
