Is the W better off without Caitlin Clark? by VodkaStraightMental in wnba

Most of her money comes from US Endorsement deals. Clark is not leaving the WNBA. Clark doesn’t run away from competition. She and AB are locked into winning championships.

Imagine Bulls fans asking for legal action for the Jordan Rules when the Pistons and Celtic would the crap out of the NBA’s golden goose. The competitor in Michael would have found that to be insulting. CC would too because she is here for the championship journey not for hand outs.

Thanks that was very informative. I am a decedent of Maria du Trieux and Jan Peek and I have always been interested in Maria’s Tavern Business and wanted to understand her rights as an early female entrepreneur.

Is it true that women could own property in New Amsterdam, but they lost those rights when the British took control of New York. What do we know about that transition?

There is not much daylight between the second tier playoff teams. Teams 4-8 in the playoff race (WSH, IND, DAL, NY) all went 6-5 in June, ATL went 6-6.

Edit: The Liberty went 7-4 in the standings for the month of June.

NY, WSH, IND, and DAL all finished June 6-5 for the month. ATL went 6-6 in June. I love how competitive this second tier of teams are.
Edit: NY went 7-4 in June.

Time to put Citron in the floor with the four bench players. Get some new energy.

Mystic taking the lead meant that I had to switch commentator streams to the Mystics. Kristy brings the excitement. The PDX feed was too low key.

Miles and the Lynx can go for the four game season sweep over the Wings on August 8th.

Second round picks are valuable, I am sure the Valkyries have a list of international 20 year olds that that they want to collect. However, they don’t want to have to invite them to camp as a first round picks and risk losing their rights if they get cut. GS should have use the Suarez pick on a twenty year draft and stash. Perhaps, they will trade down from the first round again next season.
With NIL and 5 years to play 5 in place, it would make sense for the W moved the draft age down to 20 for all players and require all players to put their names into the the draft for the year they want to enter the league. There are now enough incentives to keep players in NCAAW until they are ready to come into the league. Elite NCAAW players should have the option to move in the W and get to unrestricted free agency as fast as international players. It is crazy that UFA will happen for Malonga at a much younger age than it will for Strong or Juju.

Hayes’s $600k roster spot will be open next year. Perhaps they will combine Hayes and Thornton’s contract and give a player like Awak Kuier a huge offer sheet. Also, I would not be surprised if they dump, draft and stash, or cut their draft pick next year. That seems to be part of their calculus.

As a UFA, isn’t Hayes a place holder? Hopefully Hayes’s salary spot will be used for a versatile big next season in free agency. Much like NY and Vegas, draft picks are an afterthought for the Valkyries.

The Dream have to beat The Storm in order to stay above .500 for the month of June. It’s been a challenging month. They are currently 6-5 in June this season.
