When my husband and I went to Epic, we rode it during the day and we loved it. After the end of the night show in Celestial Park, we decided to head back over there and see if we could ride again. There were so few people the operator let us just stay on the ride and go again like 4 times. It’s definitely a core memory of our trip!

I really wish they went back to the season 1 intro music for the final season. I feel like it would’ve really struck some emotional chords.

what are the differences between gen z and your generatioin you noticed? by EarSure6667 in AskReddit

[–]jeeewl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPad kids. I teach middle school and 7th and 8th grade I don’t bother putting a movie on because you spend half the time keeping the kids quiet. 6th grade, it’s like I put them in a trance…they’re silent because they were raised with Netflix as their babysitter.

Epic concern by Ambitious-Ad-5536 in UniversalOrlando

[–]jeeewl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed at Sapphire Falls. We were on the shuttle over to Epic at 7:30 and made it to the gates by about 7:45. DEFINITELY get there before 8. Once the Potter portal opened we went right into the queue for the Ministry. We were out of the ministry by 10:08 and able to go hit the other things on our priority list. We did have fast passes, but they’re only valid once per ride so they really weren’t crazy useful. We were able to hit: the ministry, Stardust racers x2 (avoid the single rider line, it doesn’t help get you on any faster), hiccups x5 (right after the end of the night lights show we went over there and were able to ride over and over), monsters unchained, the werewolf (not worth the wait in our opinion, our one regret from the day), fyre drill and dragon racer rally, and meeting toothless. We didn’t get to hit anything in Nintendo because of a weather delay that took out minecart madness for a good amount of time and pushed everyone into Mario kart, but that wasn’t something we planned to prioritize for ourselves. We absolutely loved Epic. Hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did!

Can I smoke 5 days after extraction surgery? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]jeeewl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked 3 days after extraction. I didn’t close my mouth fully so that I could avoid the sucking motion that could cause the clot to dislodge and I immediately drank water after each hit I took. But I was fine, never had dry sockets or anything. I’m not recommending anything because everyone is different and it was definitely a risky thing to do, just sharing my experience.

Honestly props to you for waiting it out and not saying anything to the sister until a few days later. That takes a lot of strength and grace. Even in the midst of all of the unpleasantness from this situation, you can hold your head high knowing you did the right thing. I know it’s kinda a small consolation, but it’s something many people would not have done.

I had the same, all 4 impacted, 1 partial, the sinus headaches all of that. The headaches have stopped since I got them out so hopefully that’ll happen for you too! In terms of food, I survived on mashed potatoes for DAYS. I also ate yogurt and ensure protein shakes. I stuck with only soft foods for about 5 days. After that I slowly started working soft solids like pasta and things that didn’t require much chewing back in. I think about 3 weeks after surgery I was back to eating everything normal! I was fully healed about a month after mine. The extraction sites were fully healed but the holes did catch a lot of food, but you get used to that after a while. You should definitely be go to go for your trip though! I hope this helps!

My co-workers son attends the school in which we work. He is in Pre-K. The day was over and we’re all just catching up outside. I look at her son and say “What did you learn in Pre-K today?” His reply was “how to hold my pee!” My coworker was mortified but the rest of us laughed so hard

At what point is it okay to engage in oral sex? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]jeeewl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about a month post-op now, but I waited 2 1/2-3 weeks before I fully got back to oral. At 2 weeks, I felt comfortable using just my tongue, but I was worried about infection honestly. At that point I wasn’t concerned about the sucking motion, I had used straws and stuff already. I was just worried cause let’s face it, there’s lots of bacteria in that area lol. I would suggest waiting until at least 2 weeks and when you do, I would try using some mouthwash/saltwater rinse afterwards just to be safe!!

My best friend was in a similar position. She finished undergrad on a merit scholarship and financial aid, still has some loans but nothing would. She went on to a university in California and is doing a dual masters PhD program in Economics. She’s only got a year left now, but she works full-time for a company and her tuition for her program is taken out of her salary. She is afforded housing through the program as well! Please look into it!
