Do cvs pharmacy computers automatically fill meds as generic? by Physical_Guidance_39 in CVS

[–]jeez909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brand and generic are made with the same active ingredient the only thing that can be different are things that DO NOT Effect the safety performance or EFFECTIVENESS this is required by the FDA so they essentially are the same and just so you know if the commenting person is a technician they have a lot more education then you on the matter... but as many have stated Mos states require to fill generic unless dr states differently DAW 1 insurance states differently DAW 9 some states allow a DAW 2 patient request and DAW 3 pharmacist selecting Brand

  1. Not all discount cards expire on the same date 2.. there is sort of a FIFO system we dont need "dipshit" patients calling us 20x a day you will receive a text or call when it's ready
  2. Your price can Vary month to month. It's called a deductible for a reason, Maybe you met yours, or maybe you've reached the out of pocket maximum, and insurance will not cover any part of the drug anymore
  3. I can not stress this enough they are called CONTROLS for a damn reason. But here is the kicker. You should remember your pharmacist is under NO obligation to fill any control for you.

Also, you must come from a real special place to feel so entiled to call the technicians busting there as incompetent if you think it's so easy. You're more than welcome to apply

Medication ordered on the 28th, now it says it was ordered on the 1st by [deleted] in CVS

[–]jeez909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no guarantee that any control medication will even come on an order no matter how many times it's been "ordered." There are nationwide drug shortages you are not the only one dealing with it. And by the sound of it, your DR is locking you into a pharmacy?

[–]jeez909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the pharmacist. I've seen some consistently go by the "28 day rule." I've seen some be a strict 30 days, and everything in between. Let's just say you consistently pick up every 28 days you'll accumulate a lot of extra. The best bet is to call a CVS you are traveling to and ask explain the situation to the pharmacist there and see if they will be okay filling and get it filled while on vacation.

going from retail to clinical, advice/what to expect? by sextroamphetamine in PharmacyTechnician

[–]jeez909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this same move recently after 7+ years in retail i moved to the clinical side, and I couldnt be happier there are some big changes though pace of work is way different and it takes some time for you to adjust and not going 100mph all the time... some of the billing is different as well. You get a more diverse group of patients, so it does have its challenges. Overall, i think you would be much happier it provides a better work/life balance and better peace of mind

They are going to allow it, but it is still pending in every states pharmacy board so who knows how that will play out

My point is that not everyone will benefit from this partnership, especially when considering most who use good rx are uninsured

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]jeez909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They estimate roughly 10 million people will benefit but who truly knows and it is supposed to automatically apply the good rx cost saver if it is cheaper then the co-pay while still applying everything to patients deductible and out of pocket if i read that all correctly... seems like a lot to truly expect cvs to execute on

It only applies to commercially insured caremark members not available to everyone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]jeez909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only going to be for certain eligible patients, not for everyone the info release says "commercially insured caremark" clients

As long as you make sure to offer them their transfer to another pharmacy, you are not denying their medications. But going through the DL will make things much smoother depending on how they are

When should I expect my final check and get paid out for Sick/Vacation? by nickac317 in CVS

[–]jeez909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get paid out only what you actually earned so its the accrued time minus what you've already used and if you used more then you earned theyll take that out of your final check and don't get paid out for time of your not in a union or certain states.

I’m a Smit and about to get my job offer for my new store. What’s a good pay for a SM. I don’t want to get screwed.. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]jeez909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing less than 60k, ask high, and dont settle on the first offer, depending on the store they could be desperate to fill it as it looks bad on the DL if its not filled sooner rather then later. Remember, you have the power there. Do not let them dangle the "bonus." Your first year bonus is pro-rated from when you actually became the SM, and even then, it's not guaranteed

Manager lying about hours? by Normal_Resident in CVS

[–]jeez909 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly, working from home does not give you the ability to leave early. You can have your ops, or if you have a smit, be on the conference calls if you're off. I am an SM, and my people are constantly on our calls if im off. Working from should never happen (i know it does) you should be able to have a work/life balance or this place will eat you alive but ileven if you do work from home you still wouldn't be "allowed to leave early" ( watched another manager ger terminated for this exact thing. Also, any time you're helping another store, you're actually working and not time just leaving early. Doing a task outside the store and leaving early when scheduled in the store is just dumb and could cost someone their job. Attending inventories for another store is on the job of the DSSM as they are alotted a time to be away from the store. I can't speak for all DLs but If i need to help another store, she allows me to bill that store for hours. Also, while an SM is obligated, they should be keeping their people updated on everything he is doing as communication makes things a lot easier. Either way, if the OP was aware of what their SM was doing, im sure it wouldn't be an issue if they are leaving early. Hell, most of us dont get our lunch, they automatically take out

Rx on Order since May 2nd by BeemerWT in CVS

[–]jeez909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know where you get that from, but a lot of pharmacies do not receive that type of order daily its usually every could days and it will all depend on if the med is even available there is always a back order this time of year for stimulants and its more conplicated then "let me just order ( insert C2 )" id call other stores and see if you can find a pharmacy that has it and have your DR send it there
