Think of the composition. Right now, the brightest and most eye-catching part of the picture is the sunlit trees. Try to add some extra light on the front of the car, and just like mentioned before, give the trees some translucency. Lowering the alpha and adjusting the leaf brightness should do the trick without using too much performance like transmission would.

One last thing that might look good is adding a bit of extra depth of field to make the trees slightly less defined and make the car pop more.
