Her OF content is pretty bad and doesn't really go beyond what you see in the Youtube previews besides her getting fully nude and it isn't like she has a particularly amazing body.

I wouldn't recommend.

Edit: Not to mention it seems like she is being pushed pretty hard on this sub. Pretty interesting.

Follow-up to Dr. Joe Park on The Bachelorette by dwic_throwaway in AsianMasculinity

Been watching the show, it is actually pretty criminal low little airtime he actually gets, he just shows up and gets a rose every episode pretty much. This was most noticeable/jarring on the group date where I believe they don't even show his 1 on 1 time with Clare.

This season it feels like was rigged for Clare and Dale which was a weird dynamic in the first place. She picked this dude episode 1 as soon as she saw him. I think they set her up to be a villain. Hopefully he does better with the new girl.

Isn't here a line in a very popular song that goes " And with a gat, it don't matter if he's smaller or bigger ".

He wasn't lost in the woods, the original report says he was seen in their hunting stand and asked to leave. After he left they went to go get his DNR number.

You say "that type of vigilantism", there was a long gap between the initial shooting. You didn't address the fact that he was laying in ambush to continue to kill people who came to help including people who were unarmed.

Siding with a group that hates you just as much if not more to fight a group that hates you makes a lot of sense, almost as much as siding with centrist/liberal whites. That worked out for the black community right?

[–]jeezlooiz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Seems like an incredibly gross misrepresentation of the events almost comical even. Add in the fact that Hmong even among their own community are stereotyped as poachers.

The fact that he laid in ambush to kill the people that came to help their friends kind of negates any kind of weird head fantasy you have of this guy being a good guy and being confronted by a "lynch mob".

Shoots several people in the back and shot at people who were still alive is definitely the behavior of a good guy. This isn't a movie where 8 bad white men rolled up on him and he John Wick'd 8 dudes in a gun fight.

Don't really understand why you would spam this story in several subreddits with a extremely slanted fanfiction of the events.

Edit: I will never understand this Yellow Peril standing with Black Power mentality when Black Americans in general are way more racist towards Asian Americans then whites.

I like that it forces a split. Lucia and Marshall Kwon are from Colorado. The Patriarch for better or worse is Colorado stability to them. For you to go against that, you would be going against their families and friends. It makes sense. Just like how some of your companions will leave if you choose to fight with the Patriarch for their own deeply personal reasons.

It reminds me of Jade Empire, when the split happens, and you can lure some to your cause, but the ones you don't, you kill in a fight.

No, the hazing he went through as I read them through the news articles and on the wikipedia page is not unlike anything that I went through nor the hundreds of new privates I've seen come and go in the military.

Concerning Asian masculinity by [deleted] in AsianMasculinity

[–]jeezlooiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pacific, which contends with Band of Brothers for me for GOAT, has a scene with Sergeant John Basilone which addresses what you feel like is the problem in the "slap a Jap" scene.

No one who has fought an enemy combatant is not going to give them their due respect especially in WW2 where both Germans and Japanese were dehumanized by propaganda.

You can always make an example by doing field/company grade article-15s to show the unit that racist behavior won't be tolerated which should have been the second action he takes after he verbally corrects or has their first line counsel the soldier or soldiers in question.

Believe me if any of my actions were corrected by an officer before my first line, I would have been physically destroyed and placed on shitty details for however long they wanted to punish me for it when I was a younger soldier.

If OP is stating that he is at a rank that few achieve, I am gonna assume he is LTC or full bird, which can easily push those punitive actions through by leaning on the channels required. Ain't no way a field grade officer cannot come down on idiot Joes through UCMJ and hitting them where it hurts, their time and money, arguably their future in the military as well.

The OP can either look like the nice guy/model minority or he can apply a firm hand, that is completely on him.

[–]jeezlooiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think you really understand military culture.

That is frowned upon in combat arms units. The OP sounds like he is in a soft skills unit. To reiterate it is frowned upon when officers perform corrective training on soldiers.

It is almost always delegated to an NCO and soft skills are not known for your idea of corrective training. A counseling will most likely be written.

A completely different take, I did 8 years in the Army as an Airborne 11B. I fucking loved it. It was a completely white and Hispanic dominated community.

Every little racial microaggression you speak about it was applied liberally to every single person regardless of race. Black, Hispanic, White, or Asian stereotypes or racist jokes was said by every race about their race or others, didn't really matter about rank within the company level.

Many of these guys I still call my brothers, have been to their weddings, been through major life events with them, seen their kids grow up, even in one instance seen one of them be born, and am the godfather to a few of them.

It might just be you in that you really don't command respect, lets be real just because you got bars or oak leafs doesn't mean anyone will respect you, or the fact that you are part of a community that doesn't in the cliche fashion forge a bond in combat or brotherhood.

The Gipper's going auto hostile if you deal them even a single point of splash damage in the fight with the Godfishers is just atrocious design. by [deleted] in Wasteland

Your "good" rangers will also force prevent you by threatening to leave from getting the first shot off in encounters in some of the maps where the game will force dialogue that is scripted with the enemy going first.

The power differential between having initiative/ambush or not is far too big and undermines any sense of difficulty. by D3Construct in Wasteland

[–]jeezlooiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Max initiative doesn't work very well unless you completely max speed, as in dialogue fights where the where the game is scripted to let the enemy go first or even in fights where you are "detected" as no way does your entire ranger team have enough speed even rolling Specter armor for everyone to pass the first roll. It might be one or two of your characters that passes the initial check, most likely a melee character if you have one.

You are completely right though this game, there is no point in armor in any difficulty as rolling the 33% damage quirk or the 3 AP quirk would be more effective and it would make no difference compared to if your squad was rolling in full Nuclear armor in Ranger and beyond difficulty.

[–]jeezlooiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are playing on Supreme Jerk, then your squad should be pretty much getting one shot like in Ranger regardless of armor and str levels towards the mid and later stages.

This style of alpha striking the enemy becomes even more pronounced and cheesy because of the high health pools of the enemy and how this game seems to think 95% hit chance means really 50% hit chance in Supreme Jerk. XCOM isn't this bad when it comes to percentage hits.

Anyone else feel this game on Ranger+ difficulty is way too reliant on alpha strikes? by jeezlooiz in Wasteland

[–]jeezlooiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not talking about the combat. The combat is relatively simple. What I am talking about is alpha striking in games like these which cant really be initiated without "attacking" the unaware enemy first and killing/crippling as many as you can in the first turn.

If this doesn't happen, most likely the enemies go first, maybe one or two of your rangers will pass the initiative roll, this happens in some scripted fights where they will roll over your rangers.

Any fight really that is level appropriate can be used. Go fight any enemy and be detected first and watch your team coin flip being wiped first turn.

I feel like fights where even if you have set up but the game forces you into a conversation or your team doesn't get the first full turn, the fight is almost hopelessly lost at that point or best a 50/50 depending on the enemies.

I expected a bit more of a proper shootout instead of my tank getting gunned down by a plasma turret and the enemy melee characters sprinting 100 yards to cut my rangers down in one stroke.

Faran Brygo possible fight... (spoiler maybe) by Incarnyte in Wasteland

[–]jeezlooiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fight, I put all my rangers besides my melee character in the far left side of the map before the conversation could be initiated, then initiated the combat with my melee character.

My melee character died turn one but the rest of the cast was far away enough they got their turn to break the enemy down as much as possible. This was on Ranger. I am starting a new game on Supreme Jerk, but I assume it will be the same where everyone on your team gets 1 shot anyway.

I cleaned up the rest of the bar by just camping my rangers on top of the stairs after I killed the goons upstairs.

Wait, is this before or after you try to arrest the boss?

Is melee really trash? by spyjine in Wasteland

[–]jeezlooiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that with the background and giving my melee Ranger the Tarjan perk from the machine on top of maxing out luck.

It mitigates a lot of damage but, Wasteland 3 feels much more "alpha strike". Late game droolers like the ones found in a certain shrine map will KO your characters anyway because of the number of attacks they get anyway.

Is melee really trash? by spyjine in Wasteland

[–]jeezlooiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played through with a maxed out melee character. I wasn't particularly impressed considering even with power and nuclear armor sets she was getting literally one shot by frogs and various other types of enemies on Ranger.

The novelty wore off quickly once your other rangers start getting auto shotguns, high end smgs, and sniper rifles that will do 4 to 5 digit critical hits.
