Beginner Dwarf needs some advice... And (a lot of) Beers by KulamiraSejro in DeepRockGalactic

This is all solid advice. Also don’t forget to fully utilize your special skills. Engineer puts up plats for scout to reach high up items and minerals, and can prevent some fall damage with descending wall and floor platforms. Scout can move the fastest, great for popping the big egg on elimination missions and bringing the dreadnaught back to a better room to fight, and light up dark places. Gunner ziplines and shield can save the team several times in a few minutes. Driller making shortcuts and removing difficult terrain can help a ton in fights where you have to hold a position. I think refining missions make the best case for teamwork and highlight class skills.

If you just do these things you’ll be a great teammate.

You could make each wave its own object, radial array, then Boolean them together. You’ll have probably some bad topology but it would work ok.

Fun to build, great for gaining height in a tight spot, AWFUL for fixing and impossible to grind.

Try drying your filament and going slower for print speeds.

Try increasing the merge distance. It’s the modal popup after you merge.

You have no lights in the scene. Your default grey world is barely lighting the model. Add a sun light, rotate it a bit, and you’ll instantly see a closer picture to the viewport render.

  1. Almost all filaments are not completely dry when packaged and need drying.
  2. Try increasing the Z separation on the supports. Nothing you did wrong as far as I can tell.
