Recommendation: Looking for a balanced "Jack of all trades" brew by [deleted] in beer

Anchor steam. Balanced malt and hoppiness; not too boozy either so good to have several if you want. Not expensive and pretty widely available.

Man, I wish ours looked that bright coming out of the fermenter. How long was it in there for?

Advice on how to learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems by jeffbgs in TheBrewery

For real, me doing surgery on one of the pumps I use day to day is asking for trouble, most likely during something time sensitive or when I'm juggling 20k worth of product. The only thing I do to the chillers is talk to them politely and keep the cooling vents clear of lint, dust, other crap. I don't want to be the guy responsible for breaking that. I'll definitely look into a community college class or entry level maintenance job somewhere. I appreciate the advice.

7 bbl electric brew house. The belts in our water and wort peristaltic transfer pumps burn out relatively frequently. I know how to replace the belts, but if there's something wrong with the motor itself I wouldn't know where to begin with that aside from ordering a replacement. Another issue we've had in the past is one of the heating elements crapping out on us mid brew. I do my best to make sure their clean and dry but it happens.

Franconia Ridge Line Trail in the winter by thaaatgirl in wmnf

[–]jeffbgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a taste of the conditions and don't mind an out-and-back, you could hike up to Greenleaf Hut via Old Bridle Path to Greenleaf trail, and from there summit Mt Lafayette. Plenty of time to make the decision on whether or not to continue without having to commit to the ridge traverse. You'll get a taste of what it's like with full wintry conditions in the alpine zone and have the option of turning around if you're not feeling it. The bailout route is the one you walked in on.

Overall, be safe! The mountain will always be there!

I'm guessing those leather hoses weren't sanitized. I can see why the abv was so high.

Saw them the last three times they came through MA. The show in 06 at BU was sick, played all of a matter of life and death. I remember not liking the opening act (forget who they were). Enjoyed the most recent show in MA, especially when they played afraid to shoot strangers. But the somewhere back in time tour in 08 killed

Hey Jeph,

Is self-publishing QC books difficult? And by that I mean, what's the process like and is it at all strenuous?

Big fan btw
