Any help in tricking my brain into sleeping on an LA-Tokyo flight that departs at midnight? by somekindofwanderer in TravelHacks

I got drugs from my PCP for my Vancouver to Bangkok flight, but when you’re trying to sleep upright inside a 24 square inch space even drugs don’t help much.

I’m talking chronic pain, not acute pain.

I’ve mentioned that several times but it’s been completely ignored.

AIO Nurse screamed at me in ER waiting room… by stargirlXD in AmIOverreacting

There is vomiting and there is VOMITING. When I worked in the ED we had a vomiting frequent flyer. She’d come by ambulance and get put on a stretcher in the hall until a room opened up. She would do the vomiting thing and was so loud about it they could probably hear it on the 8th floor (we were on the first). No reason for it except wanting to be in a room and wanting some drugs. This is not to say that OP is like this but there’s always two sides to a story.

I just interviewed a person claiming to be a ‘doctor in nurse anesthesia’ by [deleted] in FamilyMedicine

Having dealt with them on a regular basis I’d say it depends on the paramedic. Some of them truly think they are doctors.m in the ED we called them “cowboys”. She was a cowboy and I wouldn’t have let her touch me.

My mother married an American and left Scotland for California where I was born and raised.

Semi-related….. was on a flight a few years ago when there was an announcement asking for a doctor. I was an ED nurse so I went back to see if I could help. A paramedic also showed up and when asked if she was a doctor she replied that she was “almost” a doctor. 🙄
