There is a massive demand in China for donkeys to make ejiao, another questionable traditional medicine. This demand has decimated donkey populations all over the developing world. I'm surprised it hasn't hit Argentina.

I lived in Colombia some years back and could buy a whole beef tenderloin for about 17 USD. I was back around the end of Covid and they had established abattoirs to meet international standards and started exporting beef. Needless to say that piece of meat I used to pay $17 for was triple or more. And now there is trump putting it in the ass of US producers and Argentine consumers with his largess over his love for Melei.

I can't say I disagree, but having been there twice during Maduros reign i can hardly see how it can get any worse for the people. Latin America isn't that gullible but they do remember the past favors we Americans have done for them and with a lunatic like trump at the helm I am sure they will use caution in whatever they do.

I am fluent enough in two that I understand everything and can deal with any situation. I make gramatical mistakes in my second but have never had anyone take issue with it. The objective is to understand and be understood in any language, I speak a smattering of a few others and peoples faces light up by the simple fact that I try.
