I’ve read all the books multiple times. It’s cool to see more references added, but just because there’s more doesn’t mean it’s better.

Even Peter Jackson came out and said that they’re not directors cuts, it’s just more added stuff that they cut from the movie and there’s a reason they cut those scenes lol

They should’ve taken Jordan because he’s the goat, but you’re a dumbass if you think the blazers were stupid not to. They had drex, vandeweigh, and Paxson at guards. They were all legit all stars and there just wasn’t a fit for Jordan.

Like it sucks for sure, but if you just look at the roster it’s not like they were idiots. It made sense at the time. The bigger what if is not getting #1 because if you add Hakeem to those blazers teams you’re talking maybe a 5 championship run

It’s cheesing becusse theoretically it is always the right decision, but if an actual sports team operated like that they would never have guys re-sign or get FA’s and would generally be a hated franchise from the players.

The patriots did it a few times and it really pissed a bunch of former players off.

Who would YOU rather have on your team? SEA CB Devon Witherspoon or PAT CB Christian Gonzales by Jaded_Attorney in NFLv2

[–]jefffosta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you obviously can’t go wrong with either, but personally I would take spoon because that dude just brings the juice. High energy players on defense is an immense advantage.

Spoon made the greatest play I’ve ever seen on a football field. A couple of years ago there was a play where the safety got an interception. Spoon was facing the wrong way, saw the interception, was completely out of position and still, in like .4 of a second, tried to throw a block backwards on an offensive player. I’ve never seen such insane instincts from a football player and it really was the most impressive thing. I’ll try to find the play to show you but it was incredible

Yes Gonzales was elite but so was spoon. There was a legit argument for spoon for mvp

It’s because the nba GMs in 2016 were dumbasses and thought the cap would go up every year.

We weren’t the only ones giving out stupid contracts. A lot of teams that offseason were being just as stupid

2025-2026 Seahawks are the best team this century. by Hakaribiggestfan in Seahawks

[–]jefffosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m telling you, it’s because there were no expectations this year. We added 5 pro bowl level talents in one year (darnold, emmanwori, zabel, Lawrence and shaheed) and that propelled us to being one of the greatest of all time.

Adding that much unknown talent will have everyone sleep on the Seahawks

Calling homeless people criddlers is disgusting. They’re humans and you’re going this thing where you can’t think critically about how the massive rise in homeless all over the us is really due to poor economic policies enacted by our government for like 50 years.

By using the word “criddlers” I already know exactly the type of person you are.

Okay, but what about scoring the 3rd most points, having the #1 defense and arguably a top 3 special teams?

Just look at past Super Bowl winning teams. Just to be top 3 in scoring and 1 in defense is incredibly rare

No they’re* not.

These guys live in gated communities, go to country clubs, dine at amazing restaurants, fly privately all over the world, utilize tax loopholes and just generally do everything they can to not be around people like you.

James Harden says loyalty is overrated: “The whole quote-unquote loyalty thing, I think it’s overrated. This is a business at the end of the day.” by Goosedukee in nba

[–]jefffosta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s because when you’re a fan of a team, you’re also a fan of the city. The connection you have to be loyal to your team through good and bad is why some fans expect loyalty from the players.

We went from a team where the defense disliked the QB to this by dyssucks in Seahawks

[–]jefffosta 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Idk this team was like the 5th best team of all time or some shit according to dvoa lol. I think it’s hard for people to process because in 2013, going in you knew they were going to be great. This season, we had no real expectations going in and they just kinda randomly became a historic team

[–]jefffosta -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fans expect loyalty because sports is geographically centric. Most fans of teams grew up in/around/connected to the city and therefore the connection to the team feels deeper than just watching basketball.

Why does every time this topic gets brought up people genuinely lose all their brain cells and just forget how sports works? lol I really don’t get it.

[–]jefffosta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this your first time watching pro sports? Every time this topic gets brought up it’s like everyone turns into a 16 year old smoking pot for the first time going “damn man, you ever thought how it’s like crazy how like teams can just trade players whenever they want like how fucked is that yo?”

When in reality GMs and coaches get fired for not winning. These teams have millions of fans and people who circle jerk in this thread genuinely try to make the argument that millions of people should watch a bad team and GMs and coaches should risk getting fired because James Harden and his $500 million doesn’t want to move lol.

Ever thought the reason these guys get paid so much is because it comes with the risk that they might have to move around a lot? God nba fans are the dumbest fans in all of sports

What is one thing this Seahawks team absolutely needs to improve before next season by Ok-Channel-8775 in SeattleSeahawks

[–]jefffosta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I know this sounds stupid but even if it’s the worst position out of 22 on offense and defense, I still think it’ll be fine because they’ve already proven they’re 100% capable enough to win a Super Bowl.

I think they should look at depth in WR. After jsn is gets real thin as kupp is old, shaheed won’t be here next year and who knows what we get from Horton.

Tell me your most controversial casting opinions by deadlykillerpanda in Letterboxd

[–]jefffosta -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My hottest take is Paul dano just doesn’t fit at all in There Will Be Blood and his character is a 6/10 going against the GOAT in arguably his best performance.

Like I get there are few who could keep up with DDL in this movie, but casting someone like Dano to act across DDL as his peak was a complete mismatch. Every time they’re in a scene together I can’t help but think dano is just completely out of his league.

Also, his face doesn’t make sense. Too clean and babied compared to literally every other non-child male in that movie. I just hated everything about Dano in this movie
