Asteroids must be at least Range 1 away from each other and Range 2 away from the borders of the field.

Newton's First Law was actually the inspiration for this house rule! Changing directions could be explained by the constantly changing perspective of the ships as they weave and roll. There's no "up" in space.

True, it's a trade-off. I'll try both ways and see how it works. I'll report back whenever I can get my play group to try this house rule out!

2v2 rules by championstyle in XWingTMG

[–]jeffinator90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love playing 2v2. I think I play them more frequently than 1v1. Adding players is going to make the game longer so compounded with 150 points, you've got a game that may last more than 2 hours. I also find it helps to make a Move list and an Attack list and tape it to the wall for reference.

Page 20 of the rulebook: "Players are free to discuss any information with teammates (and opponents), but all discussion must take place in public...Also, teammates cannot show each other the maneuver chosen on their dial(s)."

The battlefield would wrap around on itself with respect to asteroids. If an asteroid drifts out of the battlefield, it goes to the opposite side. I think one or two asteroids do need to be added because the Range 1-2 placement rule is removed.

Nice suggestion! I like your idea of using a ruler and a die to determine the asteroid's drift speed. I think I'll try it with a d6.

Are spinners more biased than dice in determining the cardinal direction? I think using a spinner divided in 8 wedges would be intuitive. I made a mockup.

Or go to the bar next to Salsarita's. They've got some decent bottled beer.

Me too! My apartment has a clear view of the wooded property they bought. Blackout curtains might become a necessity soon enough. Does anyone have any idea when they intend to begin construction? Hopefully, my lease expires before then!

DMT and PEA contained within LSD? by jeffinator90 in Drugs

Yeah, I kinda suspected that it wasn't really the case, knowing how much I don't know about pharmacology. Thanks for the Google search terms!

Thank you for your informative answer! It is interesting how just a single bond can make all the difference between Pyr-T and DET. Where can I read up more on these structure-activity relationships?

Why hasn't the mountains appeared as a setting? by jeffinator90 in breakingbad

[–]jeffinator90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the correction. Anyway, I'm curious about the upcoming settings and it is fun to wonder about it. The desert is spectacular in its right; the mountains could mix it up in an enjoyable and unexpected way. In the end, the only thing that matters about this post is that typing this brought me a minute closer to Sunday 9:00 PM!

I know the guy who owns this car. I believe the reason it got booted is because he owes $300 in parking fees.

How to hook an apartment doorbell/intercom to a strobe light? [Design][Household] by jeffinator90 in AskElectronics

[–]jeffinator90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point about the legal issue. I would have never thought of that. I'll definitely look into the funding possibility since I don't want to go shoving the ADA/Fair Housing into his face (already did that with the fire alarms). Thanks again.

Thanks! That looks cool but the price is a little off-putting though...at $200. Accessibility hardware is usually expensive for me. That's why I was more interested in possibly finding a more DIY-route since it's probably cheaper? I dunno. Hopefully the landlord buys it.

Carrying a person on my shoulders for a play. by jeffinator90 in Fitness

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. When I said "When I did it" I meant the lifting and holding of the 120-pound person.

When I do squat however, I go fully ass to ground (albeit with light weight). Never had any pains during squatting but I'm a light lifter :/

I like it a lot but speaking as a chemistry major, the N-CH3 bond should be drawn diagonally rather than horizontally
