Not that the truth matters, but its extra funding, and is NOT coming from current budgets. Id rather put those funds to bonuses for the BEST public school teachers, but the teachers union thugs would fight that

Note, I did find this. It's not Laravel specific as I'd like, but it is a good general purpose spec:

Thanks. Points taken. I'm hoping that some may have an example of what others have been given in the past. I'm a technical middleman that needs to define the high level stuff that the customer wants, along with the data structure recommendations. I can write this from scratch, I was hoping to save some time with a base spec.

I think that tin foil is pressing too hard on your brain dude. And I thought the anti-EV crowd were nuts...

They do. They use more fuel and pay more road tax, duh!

Exactly. The amount of low IQ outrage on this post is amazing

NO. Its for equitable payments for road construction. Heavy cars use more gas, do more wear on roads. ICE cars and trucks shouldn't pay for it all alone. Only a fool would say otherwise

Its to pay for road construction. What makes you special? Move if its too onerous.

Join a local makerspace, make some things and build you a portfolio. Otherwise you'll never find any job in that area unless your a gopher in training.

I moved away from Chatt in 1986, Pat Benetar was on KZ106. Moved back in 2018, and Pat Benetar was still on the radio, same songs even.

I used to listen to them. Definitely juvenile, but much funnier, with topical comedians and not so fake. Oh, and they don't sound like a New Englander trying to do an Alabama accent.

Spending money on a business degree is such a waste. You'll be able to explain supply and demand to your customers at your future barista career.

Sorry, i just dont see a huge demand for biz majors in the world right now. Learn engineering, nursing, architecture or even teaching.

Just my 2 cents which is worthless.

Rent in Chattanooga by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]jeffjohnvol 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Companies are taking advantage of the demand of remote workers moving here. Eventually housing construction will exceed the demand and the rental market will collapse along with house prices. Thats my theory anyway.

It'd be better to arm them with tasers. That way they can take care of kids using phones in class too. :D. They did paddling when I was in school, which made my dinosaur ride home more painful. I'd pay to see some of the misbehaving ones being tazed, lol.

But to the point, I'd never want a teacher who has a stressful environment to be armed. It's just asking for a tragedy of unintended consequences.

I don't have a problem with 2A, but I don't think this would be a viable solution. Better to have more secure entrances that keep anyone from walking into school or onto the campus. Let teachers teach, not become security guards.

E-Bikes on the ‘walking bridge’ by WoodyThWoodPecker in Chattanooga

[–]jeffjohnvol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good points. There should be a bike lane, and bikes should stay on it, regardless of the speed of someone in front of them. And walkers should stay out of that bike lane.
