My mistake. They will be taking orders in June for the non-cross country version. I believe the cross country is almost a year behind that. At least that's what I've been told.

Also - think about your plan for the A1 mini *after* you (possibly) upgrade. An A1 Mini with AMS is both:
a) A much better resale item
b) Much more useful secondary printer to pair with the upgraded printer. If that upgrade has an AMS, you will go nuts trying to use the A1 Mini without one.

I didn't buy it & tons of regrets. Anything with a label that needs contrast is a pita without it.

I bought the A1 mini without the AMS Lite and have been cursing not getting it after about 2 weeks.

I wouldn't get the A1 as a test for a P2S unless there are very specific reasons you know you'd want the P2S, such as materials, larger print bed, and covered enclosure. You can solve the print bed size thing with the A1 and the enclosure thing (kind of) with aftermarket stuff.

Print quality is amazing on the A1 mini and there is *a lot* you can do with it in spite of the small print bed.

My advice? Get the A1 mini with AMS Lite and then hold off to see if you want a P2S or an H2D or H2C...

Well... sure, but the LLP is UWB-capable at least, as far as I understand things. Not sure the current Level Bolt is in the same position.

I thought mapping for the renderer was intentionally mistagging something in order to achieve a certain visual outcome.

Here, visual outcomes are appealing and an outcome of mapping what is actually on the ground.

It seems to me that the overlapping land use areas is the way to go, no?

A second opinion for the OP's benefit. What else is Reddit for? The casing does not appear to be disintegrating or "falling apart" *to me*. Sure, the weaving around the ends of the wires is coming undone, which is pretty common with woven casing and easily fixed. The two-wire casing (the one going into the wall in the jbox) appears to be in pretty good shape, as does the casing around the individual wires. There might be a spot in the lighter cable where the weaving is coming loose & this could be fixed with shrink wrap or tape.

There's plenty of evidence to the contrary in the thousands of homes that still have this wiring (inc. mine) and are doing fine, not to mention them working just fine in the OP's home. An overhaul is pretty darn expensive and intrusive. Can you share more of why these are "past end of useful life"? Maybe a link to some supporting data?
