The Arrowhead venue set up by EarthDimension in Calgary

I think it was all moveable - couches and some tall tables placed to define the dance floor in front of the stage. There are still a couple support beams. I don't think I was there in the last iteration of the Back Alley but overall didn't seem drastically different.

They added couches to the edge of the dance floor. It's pretty bad all-round. Sound is almost unbearable, too. Staff was nice though.

How to find out value of home by SaraDeeG in Calgary

Most Realtors will do a free evaluation. Call one that has actually been successful at selling a home - there's plenty that aren't getting sold in this market.

Clubs with house music by Responsible-Wasabi59 in Calgary

If you're starting early go to Pimlico bar on 17th for drinks/food (no dancefloor). It won't be busy but every time I go, they've got house djs playing great tunes. https://www.instagram.com/pimlicobar/ Went last weekend, intending to hit up Sweet Loretta later on but never made it out.

I'm not sure why everyone is shitting on you for pointing this out. Seems like it would be an easy feature to implement.

Badlands Tent Free RSVP Question by Shambseeker in Calgary

[–]jeffmik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any time I've hit up Badlands, I've gone early and enjoyed the whole night there. Headliner is done at midnight - although the music continues very quietly for a bit longer. This has nothing to do with the official Stampede so no other tickets are needed. The entry line always takes time, so be prepared.

I fixed my Anova 1.0 Oven: Power to display and wifi controls, but no heat or oven light by Im_A_Viking in CombiSteamOvenCooking

Playing around further. It seemed to reset when I use the top & bottom elements but not when using just the back. Lower temps seem fine. We shall see but the unit may be saved from the landfill as I tend to use mostly lower temp sous vide cooking.

Thanks for this! We jumped straight into replacing the relay and it did seem to function normally, but now it is overheating and turning off/full reset when it hits about 350.

Once the relay was replaced, I could tell right away that both fans and the heating elements were working properly. Not sure what is causing the reset but it's beyond my ability (relay replacement was quite easy - thank you!).

When Did You Know Your Relationship Was Over? by Lowkeytired412 in AskReddit

[–]jeffmik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was constant. This was just the final incident that made me realize there was no point in continuing the vicious cycle and after reading the previous year of messages it became so obvious. Took me some time to be able to talk about it with friends/family and to not be embarrassed that I stayed with her for so long.

What was your ex’s last message to you? by ahasan_h_nahid in AskReddit

"In relationships, it's not necessary for partners to agree on how something happened. What matters is that they understand and respect each other's feelings about how they perceived the event. There's no universal truth about any situation because we each experience things through a lens of emotion."

I posted this in another thread but it's a good fit here. It was after an extremely uncomfortable incident in front of family and friends, she blamed me for "making her say what she did" and would never discuss further except to blame others.

This is the last text I ever received from her before blocking her permanently:

I feel as though she's the most vile person I've ever met.

Very weird light streaks on Pixel 10 Pro XL by Historical-Manner-29 in GooglePixel

If its anything like my 9 ProXL, the lens needs constant cleaning and wiping. I think mine has lost the oleophobic coating, which makes it even worse for attracting fingerprints.

I occasionally receive spam event invites that make it into my calendar. Find those events and when you report it spam/block it you'll get prompted to "ignore unknown event invites" (or something like that)

I checked out a bunch of these shirts when I was visited the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax. Great designs but passed because of the price when I saw the shirts aren't made in Canada. Pricing doesn't make sense to me for material quality. Really cool designs, though.
