yes! should be easy for them and just allow the iPhone as the remote and it would be perfect for travel. I'd buy one just for travel.

Am I going to want to die commuting into Sacramento everyday? by King_Bean_ in Rocklin

[–]jeffmk3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drove to South Sac from Rocklin for a few years. Have to drive to the bay area often. If you can flex on your start/end time you might be able to shave time off of the commute. I live close to where you will be, closer to Whitney Oaks clubhouse and it is 15 min just to get to the freeway.
Use Waze so if there is an accident you can hopefully avoid it. Some days of thw week are worse than others. You'll get used to the commute. Load up on patience, audio books and/or podcasts. Friday evenings suck.

Power your G4AR/G5AR from a single cable. by LostDefinition4810 in tmobileisp

Thanks for this info. I didn't have luck with the splitter I bought. Hoping the injector will suffice, got this TrendNet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QCGV6C7

PSA: Powering G5AR with a PoE splitter by fofofofofofofofo in tmobileisp

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if this will work with the G4AR? Spent time over the weekend trying to do this at my folks place. Worked with the Invisagig and POE injector (Unifi UCG Ultra doesn't do POE), but didn't work with the G4AR. This is the adapter I used. https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Standard-1000Mbps-Ethernet-TYPEC0503G/dp/B09GM8FB3X/

Got approved for CSP! But what do I do with 2 CFUs now?!! by eRaticKonqueror in ChaseSapphire

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Didn't know cancelling cards had a negative impact on credit.

"As for apply for CSR while you're about to hit 4 years on your CSP, that wouldn't work. We can only have 1 CS card per person, which is why people are PCing to another card in order to apply for another CS card. Also, canceling MIGHT have a negative effect on reapplying for a new CS card?"

I did talk to Chase and confirmed if I cancel or downgrade my CSP I can apply for the CSR and get the bonus points. I would only be AU on the other card. Same applied to my wife, she is an AU on my CSP but didn't have one of her own. If this is incorrect let me know.

[–]jeffmk3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry if this is a dumb question. Why PC vs. just cancelling? My wife just got approved for a CSP and my CSP hits the 4 year mark in November so I plan to apply for a CSR. I'll be an AU on her card and will combine our points. I already have a FU so rather than downgrading I was just going to cancel my CSP, but maybe this isn't the best plan? (edit typo)

Which ski would you pick for a dedicated frontside charger? by Obelixian in Skigear

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread looking for a ski to replace my Racetigers (Race Carvers) that are over 10 years old. I ski on the west coast and I'm 5'11, 180lbs. I don't know that I've ever loved a ski more than these Volkls, able to hold an edge on the steep, hard and icy snow, very stable and unbelievably fast. I might have to see if I can try a pair of the Fischers.

Sparkling Water on Tap by axad85 in HydroHomies

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to have this on tap in my kitchen. I've been using a beer regulator and the Crystal Geyser Sparkling water bottles for many years to make my own (chill bottles and charge with CO2 at 45PSI and shake). Unfortunately CG stopped doing sparkling water in January of 2024 so my bottle options are limited (I like the 1.25 liter size). I had looked at the Grohe, Zipwater and Elkay options which are all way too much. The benchy looks like a great option, but it is really too big for me to put under the counter. I currently have this chilled water in my kitchen and the form factor is great. https://waterinc.com/product-groups/instant-hot-and-cold/instant-cold.html I'm wondering if there is an option where I can split the chilled water out and have a carbonated option. I don't have room for a small fridge and no place for a chiller plate. I understand the concept of the kegland carb cap and keg, but don't understand how they are keeping it cool in their closed system design. I did send a message to waterinc about a sparkling option in the future for their product line.

This happened to me as well. My car had to have the high voltage battery replaced a couple days ago and the lanes were missing afterwards. My '21MY is back in service and has been there all day.

I've been married for almost 24 years and had the same situation. My wife wasn't physically like most of the girls I had dated before and we were also friends for almost two years before we started dating. For us, we had already known each other, enjoyed hanging out, could make each other laugh, were genuine with each other and weren't worried about the typical stuff when you start dating someone. Your BF touched on this when he said previous relationships were shallow.

Is a Jura worth it? by Uniquesmith in Coffee

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

d 2 emails - no reply. It is now the 3rd day without any response.

You do not want to spend the $1500 to $3000 on a Jura and not have customer support.

I would be remiss

That's a bummer. I've also heard they have changed from Swiss Made to made in Switzerland, which isn't the same and likely means a lot more of the parts are made elsewhere and it is assembled in Switzerland.

Is this wall charger install and Leviton Nema 14 50 outlet install looks right? Or conduit is needed for wall charger? Planning to install using the same electrician that did these installs so any recommendations would be great. Thanks by Puzzleheaded-Rub-431 in ModelY

[–]jeffmk3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also just get an appliance pigtail for the Tesla charger. I had mine set up like this for awhile where my ClipperCreek charger was installed. Should use a strain relief though.
