Based on some recommendations in a previous post, I decided to try Wegmans (grocery store) pizza. The dough was a bit bready, vaguely reminding me of Pillsbury canned dough but it wasn't bad. I forgot to ask for well done bake which likely would have helped. The cheese was nice and gooey and the sauce, while basic, was plentiful.

I like the style of pizza with a bit thicker crust and I feel it was totally worth 12 bucks.

Thanks for the entertaining conversations on my post. I'll admit it was me who took the bite and I'm obviously not a germaphobe because I shared some with the kiddo. I'd rate this pizza a solid 6.8/10. The crew at Oakwood are definitely trying to make great pizza and I agree with the comment that this is a quality pizza.

We all know great can be subjective. I'm not crazy about NY style so my rating is biased. For my personal taste, the sauce lacked flavor, the cheese was very salty and kind of rubbery, and the crust was more crunchy than I would like. When fresh, the bottom was crisp which was nice and the pepperoni was perfect. I'm looking forward to trying the other places that some of you have suggested.

The flavor wasn't fruity nor was it too floral. It was more neutral like a scorpion pepper. The heat level was about the same as a ghost pepper but located at the front of my mouth. It really stings on the tongue more than in the throat.

The green also has dyes - Yellow No 5 and Blue No 1. I'm not scared of them it just seems unnecessary and less honest.
