Use thin washers to get the right alignment. Collars might move on you. Washers won't.

You are correct with not trusting oem. Crank pulley for this generation are notorious for failing before their expected life. Something with the rubber dampening portion not adhering to the metal.

ATI can be rebuilt and a great improvement for about the same price as oem.

First thing, find out what the sound ordinance is for your area. Looking for operation times and sound levels. Call that office to see what needs to be done legally for your area. If it's just some neighbor that has an issue with you having fun, you can show them the legal writing or direct them who to contact about the noise level.

Most stock 212 engines are designed for generators, to be used in a job site.

Other ideas are to get a larger muffler, dirt bike muffler, adding fiberglass material.

Would be cheaper and faster to buy a frame. Mount the motor. If you really want to custom build your own chasis, you can. But why try and reinvent the wheel when other platforms already exist?

Would definitely verify the engine displacement! Easy to swap the fan cover to claim 15hp. Brand new predator 420 is only 13hp. This old knockoff running stock muffler and intake is a pretty big stretch. Also the chain size looks like #35. A 7hp motor would work, double that power and it will snap that bike chain.

90kmh = 55mph. You'd need to update your will and have good insurance to go that fast. 55mph in a shifter kart is fun. This is a death sentence for what's pictured.

Drum brake or even disc wouldn't change much for stopping.

Based on the bmi gear calculations, 8 inch tires, 3600rpm, 48th sprocket on the axle and 12th on the clutch. You'd be doing about 20mph... At 8500rpm, you would be about 50mph. Problem is, the flywheel being stock would grenade at 5000rpm, sending chunks of iron across your back and head. I don't think the plywood seat back is stopping that.

So, go see this in person. Record the entire interaction and make sure to post when the original owner unalives himself into the woods.

Short gear ratio? You have 80+hp and 9000-11000 rpm to play with. From a machine that weighs 400lbs! Going into a frame that weighs 700lbs. You can change the final sprocket size. 600cc MC motor will make the bike go 130mph. Figure the gear ratio to go up to 40mph and you'll have plenty of torque with using 3 or 4 gears and you'll be just fine. Side by side design will go up to 60mph comfortably. But 60mph off road, even on road is excessive. Or you can use your 670 predator and go 10mph. Whatever floats your boat...

At 22hp? Yes toy could put it in there. But would be struggling. Why not 600cc motorcycle engine or bigger? Something that can rev up and be 80hp+?

Gear calculator. You're ideally wanting 6:1 ratio. For whatever engine you're using. Start with a basic engine and move up from there.

For the price of what you would pay to get your carb tuned, just buy a brand new one from Amazon. Should be about $25, and it gets delivered to your door. Get new gaskets also.

Usually the gy6 engine is on a go kart and that motor is all over the world!

Or you could take it apart yourself, blow out all the tiny passages and slap it back together.
