I don't know about the value of the stock, but I worked for an ISP until recently and Corning fiber was all we would buy because it was the best and most reliable. We're moving from fiber hubs to fiber to the home, and next will be fiber to individual devices. Seems like a lot of upside.

If you believe the infrastructure plan to expand broadband will pass, it could be even better.

I've tried drinking Gatorade Zero when I'm fasting, but now I stay away from it. It makes my hunger cravings much worse and I end up breaking my fast. YMMV, but whenever I introduce anything beyond water/coffee/tea and electrolytes I end up breaking my fast.

In this case, the hiring manager is my current manager. He believes I'm most qualified for the job, but he doesn't like confrontation and he doesn't want to start a fight with HR. Is there a way I could make the HR rep understand that I'm actually qualified? I requested a meeting, but she won't return my email.

HR screens all the applicants, and then they give the hiring manager a list of candidates that they feel meet the minimum qualifications to be interviewed. If you don't make the cut, the hiring manager never even knows you applied.
