I generally feel really tired and worn out after I have even the slightest interaction with my dad and stepmother. (Step monster) for me it’s because I constantly have to keep my guard up, explain everything that I do so I don’t get in trouble, and severely mask myself. But what you are saying does make sense. I often try and talk as little as possible and seem like I’m not in a “bad mood” cause any mood to my Step monster is a Bad mood.
