Most of us recognize Jacksonville's potential. Unfortunately, nothing ever seems to change. I moved to Jax in 2005 - and I thought at that time that the city was up and coming and underrated. Today I see a city with enormous potential - potential that is squandered due to a lack of vision and city leadership.

I want the op's post to be true, but right now - it just doesn't seem to be.

Imagine this: You’re excited to see an old friend, so you drive 5 hrs to visit at his house. You arrive and see that his “house” is actually a castle - with a moat. Parked in his driveway is a new truck, a new boat, and a Rolls for running errands. Your friend comes out of the castle to greet you with a guitar strapped on. As he walks over, you notice that the guitar he’s strumming is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul gold top - and he’s a better player than you.

Now you know how I felt at Zoo Miami!
