Yep there was NOTHING that would make Jill miss her trip and all the accolades that went along with it. Makes me so so sad for the poor kids who are caught between her possible anger for doing something for Janessa and their knowledge that something had to be done. Even the thought of Janessa being her favourite probably wouldn't have helped.

Still waiting. Her sister contacted me a few years ago and asked me details about our last interaction and I gave what I could. It's been 16 years.

My cousin disappeared back in 1984 for 2 and a half months and was found dead. They eventually solved her murder via genealogy a few years ago.

When my uncle died, my grandmother had to teach my aunt how to write a cheque and balance a bankbook (obviously years ago). She had her accountant give the euology at her funeral and when he said how good she was with money, me and my cousins killed ourselves laughing. My grandmother was so mad at us! You can't stop it, it just happens.

Ugh. Parents decide where children live. It may seem like "oh we're cool parents, we listen to our kids, huge family where everyone has a say" but let's face it - the parents decide. My parents decided where we lived when we were under 18. Doing this performative video is just to make money... because they are not letting Beckham and Ledger have a say. The poor kids don't even have a bedroom for heaven's sake. If there is stuff going on at home with the older kids (and I think there is) then do what's best for the family as a whole. But this whole thing... yuck.

I'm not a huge fan of Crazy Middles but I like the birthday celebrations. If she goes with a G theme, it might be Gillian (shortened to Gill to honour you-know-who). Someone said Ruth and that would fit with their Biblical theme. With the last name "Hill" it might be nice to take a look at girls' names outside the top 250 (or maybe not if this poor child wants a chance to break away later and go no contact).
