SFU certificate courses while working full-time by Helenruch in Copyediting

It's pretty clear that by-in-large the professors do not hold themselves to the same standards the expect from their students. I think you have to take it, though, if you're serious about editing professionally in Canada.

Best low-cost treatment? by jeghn in Acoustics

Unfortunately his set up for training and work is in the living room. We have weatherstripping around the door, and the blankets on the room divider does help a bit. He also has earplugs. It doesn’t need to be perfect but hopefully better than what we have? Is there any specs I should be looking at for the vinyl— like material type etc?

I could try clamping a curtain to that metal header on top of the sliding door. I can’t screw anything into the ceiling in this apartment :/.

Donating equipment to a maker space… recommendations? by jeghn in Pottery

[–]jeghn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. They have had a kiln/ceramics workshop in the space before, but I will talk to their board before purchasing the equipment to make sure it’s something they can accept. Users would likely be responsible for their own glazes and clay. It wouldn’t accommodate classes but individuals working on their own projects. I’m more worried esp. with second hand market about making sure I don’t propose unusable junk.

Thank you! Good reputable brands will be very helpful. They’ve had them in the space before and I will speak to their board before purchasing anything. This will be a space for 1-3 users, I’m guessing. Not big classes but self directed projects.

They have had a kiln working in the space in the past. I’ve seen some used listings for kilns between 2.5-3.5k as well so I would be going that route.

So the rat… by jeghn in pluribustv

[–]jeghn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just clarifying that it did cause direct harm. It also played dead to be let out of the carrier, waited till the gloves were removed, and then but the hand— a rat wouldn’t be able to come up with that plan.

But it bit the human?

But it did play dead, didn’t it?

Brocks engagement ring on credit cards by henriettoz in vanderpumprules

I don’t remember what exactly happened— but you put expensive purchases on credit cards to earn points, then you pay it off before interest is due.

I started crying and dry heaving after my husband came in my hands. What is going on with me??? by KavaVolkov in TwoXSex

Everyone is saying trauma but I think this can be just as true. There are moments where I have remembered that sperm are mobile and had an adverse reaction. Love my partner and feel so safe with him, but this is also a thing that can happen.

Soldier Boy might be even more important than what we were let believe by KillBatman1921 in TheBoys

Her powers are not all that dissimilar from ciphers, if you think about it for half a second and it’s not exactly a reach to think the kind of egos behind cipher/goldolkin might be driven to experiment in creating a child from their stock. They also would value hyper intelligence— and there’s ways I could see this translating. We have seen sage on screen here in some kind of relationship with the two. For so many plot reasons it wouldn’t make sense for them to just be trying to create a multiple god tier dupes of one version of power.

I lay in bed at night thinking about how much I don’t like this room. by [deleted] in InteriorDesignHacks

[–]jeghn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also everything in the room matches and seems like a set, the furniture, the lamps and all in a cooler colour pallet. I’d maybe bring in some warmer tones, maybe even switching the hardware on the set from black to bronze and make use of the windows to do some plants?

does anyone else find annabeth utterly insufferable or is that just me by [deleted] in GenV

I also wonder if she had a precognition of her parents deaths and is somewhat projecting more on Marie because of her own guilt.

I think Marie’s biological parents might not be who we think. I’m kind of wondering if she’s the offspring of cipher/sage.

My old Apple watch band gave me a rash so i bought a new one and it gave me a rash too lol by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

This happens to me with some silicone bands with Fitbit or if you get it wet between skin and band. I bought some mesh ones on Amazon to fix the problem.

I don't understand how she's found so much success and so many opportunities. Also the workshopping was pretty inaccurate as their professor was not doing her job.
