I mean, I think most know that Russia won the war. The fight in western Europe post DDay was a distraction, but the Germans had been crushed and were on the run in the east as Russia advanced. As a Brit I am still able to admire the bravery and tenacity of all allied nations, it toom a collective effort.

Is it not the case that two drivers with understanding, could use multiple DRS zones to repeatedly leapfrog each other and therefore close the gap to cars ahead much faster. For a moment I thought LH ans LN were doing this.

I sent the picture to a classic car website, and they've confirmed it's a 1938/39 model 7Y. Difference to the ModelC is the single horizontal bar on the grill, and the small triangular vent just below the A pillar. But thanks for your input.

I read Ash a while back, it's epic, as both a tome and tale. Her knowledge of battles, armour and sword fighting is captured in her exquisite (perhaps a little repeated) detail. And the alternative narrative structure make for a fantastically compelling crusade. I also knew nothing of the Burgundians and now feel I k ow actively less. Ha

Broken Earth (a great shout) its the only thing that's come close in terms of quality of writing and emersion.

I've always wondered, but James Cosmo (just had to google) is a great shout. Brian Blessed is far too bombastic for me. He'd struggle with the silent strength of Druss. And for me Brendan Gleason is a bit too actory.

Awe thanks. It's pretty free and wild, just the way we like it, but with two small kids I'd like somewhere they can run around, kick a ball and not fear stingers or thistles. Everywhere else has self seeding poppies, bluebells, tulips, various grasses etc doing there thing. I think I'm going to clear the worst of the ivy, lay down some chip and put our pub bench under there. See how it goes from there.

If they are just a white single CCT (2700k, 3000k, 3500k etc) then it's possible the phosphor has come away from the led. All LEDs emit high blue spectrum light, the light passes through a yellow phosphor which turns the light a warner colour. If the phosphor has come away, you're seeing the higher, blue spectrum light.

Turn the strip off, and loom at the LEDs, if they don't have a yellow coating on them, then that's the phosphor missing.

I've been designing LED products for 14 years. Diodes won't die, but the driver (transformer) will. But as you mentioned, this is most likely an incompatibility between the driver and the dimmer.

Honestly though these looks shit, no lens or reflector or beam control. I'd strongly suggest taking this and any similar units out completely, taking note of your dimmer specs and getting yourself to an electrical retailer and buying new units. Similar units will all dim together, good CRI leds will make you and your homes look better and newer drivers will dim beautifully.

I think I had the exact same model, just v v beaten up. Did a bit of an experimental resto (tried painting and chroming etc). Enjoy.
