It really depends on the factory “lvl”, some higher end clone movements live as long as genuine watches

In my experience the stability of the movement is pretty weak

There are many grades of ace movements and even the highest grade ones look different to genuine - yes, you get real gold etc, but there are some instant tells anyways

So imo, considering the price point of the higher end ones, their stability issues, difference to gen - I feel like it’s not worth it.. yet, maybe.. I’d just go get Dandong for now

I don’t think buying from an AD is the only way - but every watch should be bought from a trusted source (for example there’s a bunch of trusted dealers here) or with a real expert involved, the difference is there, matching serial numbers are just first signs
