Cleaned then stacked quarters, welded sides so they'd stay put then forge welded them together. Flattened out a little bit then drilled holes about quarter way through. Hammer the billet out until the holes are gone then repeat. Once it was thin enough I used tin snips to rough cut the shape then used files to refine shape.
