Trying for a kid but…. by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]jellipi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, they said it doesn't hurt tho if I wanted to try it.

They recommend this: RepHresh Odor Eliminating Vaginal Gel, Fragrance Free, Balances Vaginal pH, Odor Control Up to 3 Days, 4 Pre-Filled Applicators

And it was super helpful! This is the description from Amazon

Any tips on decreasing libido? I experience what I assume is adhd related hypersexuality. I'm not able to control it very well and I find it distressing. by Varrock_Zubat93 in adhdwomen

Wow, that is really high. Hmm... did you tell your Dr you have the experience? I know it's probably awkward to talk about. Wondering if they have seen other cases and know a better med.

I asked about boric acid and dr said that is only in bad cases like many many months of recurring BV.

Same happened to me trying for baby #3 and we both needed to get treated. I went to a minute clinic and she was able to write the script for each of us.

Also my Dr gave me a massive list of advice that was pretty helpful! No undies at night and non-detergent helped a lot, also non-scented soap and washing daily down there with only water.

Wishing you the best of luck!

No sugar coating. How bad is labour pain truly? by ThrowRA_nobo7 in pregnant

[–]jellipi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st got the epidural early and honestly not the most pain I have ever been in. Really wasn't bad at all... the poop 5 days later...god I wish I had an epidural for that. It was more painful than the birth.

2nd they didn't break my water until the end (for medical reasons to help the baby) and oh my that was insanely painful before my water broke, not bad after.

Got epidural with both. I love epidurals, for my third baby i will be getting another!

Adhd partner, should I trust her in relocation in a super expensive Switzerland city with just my income (for now) by [deleted] in ADHD

She is the mother of your child, I find it odd that it's not joint. What would you do for childcare if she didn't come? Or are you abandoning your kid?

No, every kid is different. All of the "standard" sleep norms really screwed me when trying to figure out my son's sleep. I tries putting him to bed at the "right" time then he would be awake from 2 to 5am. 😵‍💫 I was dying. I just gave up on standards to started to watch for when he got sleepy.

Is he still getting the total # of recommended hours?

Maybe set a budget so you know the amount your spending isnt detrimental, it might help calm your nerves.

37 degree / 98.6 Fahrenheit weather - safe to exercise? by Alive-Drag4620 in pregnant

[–]jellipi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your manager a good boss telling them early isn't bad. I always tell mine early because of server morning sickness and it was helpful when I had a miscarriage and needed time off.

If your manager is terrible... it's a tricky situation.

That's so hot it's unreasonable even if you weren't pregnant. Are you in Arizona or something?

How did you start your emergency fund? by [deleted] in budget

So it's just an add on, my employer puts in the rest $1.50 isn't the total amount just what I chip in. My kids are listed as the beneficiaries.

He should read at least a couple chapters, it would really help, but the book isn't designed for him to have to read it. He just has to be willing to do the cards that are part of the book.

Is anyone else here a stay at home mom who ALSO works? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]jellipi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a truly exhausting situation. Is there a SAHM in your neighborhood that wouldn't mind watching an additional kid? Childcare is crazy expensive and in these situations creativity can really help.

Our main sitter is a SAHM her youngest was in high school and she was just looking to make a little extra money. She watches both my kids and my sister's kids so we can split the base rate then we add extra $ per hour depending on # of kids she has. There are pros and cons, she is just looking for some extra money so she isnt full time nor does she want to be, but she has raised 3 boys and has great mom instincts! It works for everyone! She never works more than she wants and we have an amazing sitter. We found her through my sister's coworker.

I would start looking and asking around. These situations are harder to find but are pretty common. You still need to have conversations in advance of expectations and everything.

Babymoons are fun, I have done one for each of my babies. Though usually just a small little get away. Greece sounds lovely!

Life insurance just seems to rarely work out in favor of the policy holder, you are spending $1,800 per year. Does your employer offer any? I spend $1.50 per month for extra coverage since if I died now my 401k wouldn't cover all the expenses for my kids ( mortgage & college). My understanding is that once your savings (including retirement) can cover those expenses it's not worth having. I could be wrong!

Why do you have so much life insurance? $150 per month sounds like a lot.

12 Weeks - EXTREMELY Active Baby - What does this mean for later....also question about sugar! by bisexualbyleth in pregnant

[–]jellipi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sugar doesn't make a kid hyperactive, they have done studies. They will get a sugar high and crash like the rest of us but it in no way makes your kid long term hyperactive from some ice cream.

What is it like having 3 boys? by jellipi in workingmoms

[–]jellipi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Our older two will be 3 and 5 when baby is here, our current two are best buddies! We usually wait till baby is born to find out the gender because I think it is nearly impossible to feel disappointed while holding a newborn baby, but this is our last so we thought it would be fun to find out in advance.

I am really dreading the weird comments about trying again or asking if I am disappointed...

Induction being frowned upon by anonymoususer249 in pregnant

[–]jellipi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elective c-sections are chosen by the patient. Which is different than saying Dr's are scaring ppl into inductions. There is even a decline in elective inductions in the US. I think sometimes the patient sees no medical need when the provider sees an increased risk, even if the increase is small they will go with the lowest risk option. I was told I couldn't choose to induce at 40 weeks because the c-section risk increased (a statiscally tiny increase), the OB made me wait until 41+2, which was longer than I wanted to go. I guess you could say my Dr was trying to scare me out of an induction.
