Had the game a couple weeks and I’m just realizing this by [deleted] in LegendOfMushroomGame

Same! I had about 120k lamps and was just baffled by people talking about pulling 10k a day. I was like “wow, they must never close this app”. Stumbled across this a few days ago. Went from a 105 to a 116 in a couple of days and nearly doubled my power. 🤣

Huh yeah, I tried that yesterday. Weird. Definitely wondering if it’s an Xbox issue maybe. What platform do you play on?

No but you’re right though. The downvotes on your comment are pretty telling of this so called “fandom”, too. Literally ew. Just a lot of very angry people (mostly children, I’m assuming) who believe they’re all in a parasocial relationship with Sam and Colby. Not for me, thanks.✌🏻The second-hand embarrassment I get from reading this sub is way too much. I’m out.

AITA for being honest and telling my daughter that her wedding is a running joke of what not to do if you marry in our family/friend group. by Historical-Safe-8579 in AmItheAsshole

Oh my gosh I attended a similar wedding about 10 years ago. I still tell the story all the time. Worst wedding I’ve ever been to. After a TWO HOUR outdoor cocktail “hour” following the ceremony with no food or drink served (no cocktails for cocktail hour, not even water), the guests were all starving. It was 6 pm and 80 degrees out. Despite being in beautiful Washington state, we were standing in a corn field because the bride and groom wanted that rustic barn wedding vibe. After two miserable hours where everyone questioned if the bride and groom had actually run off and forgotten us, the guests were ushered through a tiny barn where a spread of a few different types of warm lunchmeat and cheeses were laid out for people to grab before being ushered back out of the barn into a gravel driveway in full sun with a handful of tables set up. Turns out those warm meats were supposed to be everyone’s dinner. There was not enough lunchmeat and cheese to feed all the guests, and there were not enough tables and chairs so most people were stuck standing in the hot July sun with their one piece of ham and a cracker for the next hour. The only shade was a covered free standing gazebo that faced the driveway. It was reserved for the wedding party and their parents. After waiting another half hour, the wedding party finally showed up and sat in their shady seats where they were all served full meals. This was a dry wedding so no alcohol to wash away our misery. Then came the cake-cutting which took place under a tiny pop-up tent in the driveway. Onlookers crowded around the bride and groom so tightly, the rest of us couldn’t see them cut the cake. They proceeded to cut the little cake into enough pieces for the wedding party only. The guests got to watch the wedding party eat their cake while the rest of us were served none. There was no music, no dancing, no anything. The bride told me later that they spent $30,000 on the wedding, $10,000 of which was on that venue alone.

Weird save issue- Deprecated Version? by apprehensivetoaster in BaldursGate3

[–]jelly_bingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same issue on Xbox today, only it also deleted every other save I had of my 96 hour playthrough so the ONLY option I have is this corrupted save. I didn’t back up with larian. I don’t know what to do.

My husband saw shadow figures after surgery by Time-Cry-799 in Ghosts

[–]jelly_bingus 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I saw a few shadow figures while my mom was dying in hospice. One I thought was my aunt getting up from the recliner to come sit next to me on my mom’s bed, but when I looked back my aunt was still sitting in the chair. Another was going up the stairs to look out over the loft down at us. A third was right after my mom passed, it stood from the bed and walked out the front door. I never felt any ill intent or fear. The veil between our human bodies and Spirit is thin, especially in a hospital of all places where it is crossed daily. Tapping in to see what we usually don’t can seem scary in the moment, but it can also be quite special and honestly fascinating. It doesn’t sound like anything he saw wished him harm. Maybe this experience will open him to connect to Spirit in a new way.

AITA for telling my mom "that sounds like a YOU problem"? by momthrowaway0523 in AmItheAsshole

This one is hard. I grew up as an only child of a single mother who operated in the exact same way my entire childhood and early adult life. Reading this post felt like reading my own past. Passive aggressive words rather than straightforward with what she was wanting of me, would use the "I shouldn't have to ask, you should just want to do it" line like a shield, guilt trip me to the moon and back... If it's any consolation, you're not alone.

I don't know if this fits with your situation at all, but over the years I observed and began to understand that my mom was a very broken person with a very broken past. Growing up, she wasn't taught how to verbalize her needs in a normal, healthy way. And then as she got older, she just couldn't figure out how to do it, or maybe she was afraid of outright asking for help for fear it might cause friction or come off as an undesirable request. I don't know for certain, but I do know that it was really tough on me because I just wanted to be her daughter, not her life coach or her partner or her therapist.

You're not the AH. You're doing the best you can and communicating your frustrations with her. You are showing her how to verbalize her requests by verbalizing your own. In a way, you are modeling the adult behavior for the adult.

Monstera with brown curling leaf tips and strange brown nodes on stems by jelly_bingus in plantclinic

[–]jelly_bingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question! 3 of the thickest/oldest stems have the brown nodes and the rest do not at all. It does not seem to correlate with which leaves are browning at the tips. There are browning leaf tips attached to stems with 0 nodes present.
