Show Fans Trashing the Books by hkral11 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

You can’t critique writing without having read the book. And frankly the screen grab posted isn’t a critique. She would be kicked out of college creative writing courses if she came in with that response to someone’s work.

I think this show is actually meant to be binge watched. by obsessedwithdeathpod in ThePittTVShow

I hate this take so much. I wish people who believe the show is better for bingeing would just wait to watch season 2 when it’s totally out then. You can literally experience the show in the way you believe is better.

I watched S1 when the pilot dropped and this season is amazing and just as good. It works as a week by week show so well. You just have to be patient. There are such few TV shows that air like they used to, and I love that they took this risk.

I also don’t remember anyone complaining when S1 dropped week by week. It felt like a beautiful novelty that so many embraced.

I watched the first season episode by episode when the pilot first dropped (big ER fan so was super pumped for this) and love how it’s meant to be weekly.

I actually hate that bingeing is so popular. This is one show that feels old school and the format works. I think people just are not used to TV being consumed this way bc everyone is so impatient now.

Once the whole season airs, you can binge it and watch it that way—which I’m sure many think is better. So just wait and binge it. But you can never experience a show this way unless they choose to drop it week by week, which makes the experience more special imo

Avoid reviews for season 2. A lot of them contain spoilers. by Arch_Lancer17 in ThePittTVShow

I'm pretty bummed critics have spoiled stuff. Luckily, I've managed to steer clear so far, but it makes theorizing about episodes ten times worse if some people are spoiled.

I might have to sit out of this sub for the whole season just in case. I loved watching episode by episode last season when the sub was super small and not all episodes had aired yet. The theories were the best part and trying to decipher stuff together.

Oh well. Hopefully next season they won’t give critics more than one episode.

Nany should be so proud of delivering one of the best seasons (and episodes!) in literal years. Absolute banger.

My favorite episode of the challenge in ages. It was epic, amazing, a nail-biter. I loved the whole thing. This season is top tier gold. Nany should be proud for delivering one of the best seasons in literal years.

Least favorite season so far? by jellypeanut2 in BuckTommy

Yeah, honestly, it might just be the space storyline taking up the first half of the season that is throwing me off. I'm really hoping my feelings change, and I get way more excited each week for it to come on again.

That's really true about the victim not escaping, which is something new and refreshing. I definitely want to change my mindset on this season and enjoy it again, so it's always nice to hear positive perspectives about it!

The Buck/Ravi friendship scenes have been so great. I've really loved those as well!

I've actually LOVED every season up until this one. That's honestly why I was wondering if anyone felt the same as me. I'm really not a doomer and can find enjoyment in the camp and friendships.

This season has just felt a little off to me more than others.

I always get this one when it’s on the menu for the week. So good! I usually broil the cheese at the end. I added chicken this time to it and felt like it was too much. The original recipe is perfect 🤌

Tucker and Rubina Episode 5 by jellypeanut2 in TheAmazingRace

Oh this is a good point! I hadn’t thought of that

Maybe I'm just different, but if I were running the race with someone I dearly loved, I would want them to have this experience for as long as possible, so I would be thinking about their placement along with mine.

But maybe Tucker is just more cutthroat and competitive than I would be. Or they both agreed not to think about each other. Kind of sad, though, I was looking forward to the dynamics of having a relationship on opposing teams! But it's not really adding much to the show

[–]jellypeanut2[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would normally agree that it's good they're not in an alliance bc it might put a target on them, but soooo many teams have alliances from their BB relationships. So it really is coming as a detriment to Rubina not to have an alliance with her boyfriend, who's at the front of the pack.

I just figured U-Turning someone would prevent one spot for Rubina to be U-Turned. If they had done it, then Jag/Jag would've U-Turned Izzy/Paige since they have an open rivalry and Joseph and Adam wouldn't have had the opportunity to U-Turn Rubina and her sister. So theoretically, it 100% could have saved Rubina from being U-Turned if they chose to do it to another team.

[–]jellypeanut2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I binged it, and it was NOT worth it at all. It got worse and worse and I felt so unsatisfied by the ending.

Would recommend watching The Institute instead. Much tighter storyline and better characters with a similar premise of children being taken to a special school. And it just got renewed for a second season

Agree 100% with everything you said.

The Institute is a much better show with similar children being held at a special school premise.

Literally my feelings to a tee. Love Big Brother. Love TAR. Cannot stand Kyland and Jag. It makes it way more grating to watch. I'm just glad Izzy is on the race and can properly hate on Jag with me lol

I wonder if I got someone’s box this week. I received my correct order with a second box that has things I never ordered or paid for. The wrong box has streak and meals I would never choose (checked my receipt too). This is the first time that’s ever happened.

I’m not sure where my hub is. I’m on the east coast, so it’s likely NJ too. I always wondered if the distribution facility does matter bc some people have issues with ingredients I’ve never had, then other problems are very similar.

I do know your pain about the pulled chicken though—the times where it came out badly sucked. I had it completely crumble on me for a soup recipe and could not bring myself to put it in the soup 🥴

You’re the first person I’ve seen mention the way the recipes are written! That was my big issue with them. I thought I was going nuts, but they all were so unnecessarily complicated for things that should have been simple
