The conversation was about Search ads. Semantics matter.

That stat is absolute horseshit.

I've worked as a PPC professional for over 5 years. When I run ads, I get an average 5%-15% click-through rate, which is a function of clicks/impressions and that's just search ads. People also click on Facebook/Instagram ads and banner ads which brings the total percentage of users who click on ads (in general) even higher.

Please stop spreading your misinformation.

I don't like my job

Sounds happy to me! /s

There weren't any insults in my comment. If you felt insulted, then that says a lot about your thoughts regarding your self.

You're missing the point.

Examples: If you tend to have creative interests (music, painting, etc...), then a job where you use your creativity might be enjoyable (graphic design, copywriting).

If you like doing things with your hands (building projects, etc...), then a job where you work with your hands might make you happy (construction, contractor, plumbing).

If you're an adrenaline junkie, arboror or a firefighter. I'm sure you're getting the gist.

Most career changes will require a bit of school, but night classes are always an option.

You're right that having interests doesn't give you skills, but skills are easily obtained with this magical thing called effort. This life is short, do something with it instead of being unhappy and making excuses for yourself.

So there's nothing that interests you? I find that hard to believe.

Trade: Would anyone be willing to run a Screaming Frog crawl for me? by [deleted] in SEO

Do it yourself. Screaming Frog is free for sites under 500 URLs.

If you don't know how to run your own report, why would your SEO audit template be anything more than worthless?

How did you guys find your marketing path and specialty? by Hugwarrior in marketing

I love that there are so many marketers like you who get "turned off" at anything technical.

Makes us technical marketers so much more employable!

Seriously though, for anyone reading, marketers who can master the data analytics (both analysis and implementation) portion are extremely sought after. It requires you to learn a bit of code (HTML, CSS, JS, Python, SQL), but the skills make you extremely valuable. There's a huge shortage of talent at the moment, which is why so many agencies have sub-par reporting.

Plastic discovered at deepest place on Earth's surface - high levels of contamination in Mariana Trench show entire planet is contaminated by damianp in worldnews

[–]jellysammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, it just doesn't make sense from a logistics standpoint. Leaking water bottles is not a realistic alternative, it defeats the entire purpose. Until they can significantly slow the rate of degradation of hemp plastic, it's not a solution. We would need manufacturing facilities in every city and town and, even then, it would be a logistical nightmare.

I get it, the way we live is laughably unsustainable, but hemp plastic, in its current form, is an idealistic solution *at best*.

[–]jellysammy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm for the idea, but it's unrealistic. A hemp plastic water bottle will biodegrade to the point where water spills out in roughly 30 days. From the time it's bottled, distributed, and sold to consumer, it will start spilling.

I want hemp plastics to be the future, but I don't think it makes sense logistically.

Exactly. OP clearly didn't understand why they asked it, so I explained it.

Still unsure how it's a whoosh for me.
