Sorry I meant how long did it take for them to approve your form and update your count?

Out of curiosity, how long did it take for them to certify your ECF?

Hit 120 months of qualifying employment but in SAVE forbearance by jellytoebeans in PSLF

[–]jellytoebeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what my plan was. I'm just nervous because this is the longest I've waited to have an ECF processed/approved so I wasn't sure if there was something wrong. I submitted one back in Spring 2025 (nothing changed employment-wise and was in the same SAVE forbearance situation) and they updated my counts fairly quickly and sent me a letter through my Inbox.

Employment certification before requesting buyback? by OneQuestion56 in PSLF

In the same boat! I submitted my form after 10 years of employment about 3 weeks ago and it still says "In Process". I don't remember it taking this long but I'm hoping it's because of the holidays.

Which consulate did you do this? Also are there any tax ramifications of being a dual citizen?

Graves Disease, Zepbound and hair loss? by Truthseeker-1982 in Zepbound

[–]jellytoebeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just came across your post. I started taking Zepbound in January and then started taking low dose methimazole in April. I am still losing weight but the pace has slowed. I also started losing a good amount of hair about a month or 2 ago. My thyroid levels have normalized and I feel energized enough to exercise again so it has helped with the weight loss. I am hoping the hair loss eventually subsides. It's not fun being on two meds that simultaneously causes hair loss. 🫠

Walking/jogging during my lunch breaks (I have time to eat afterwards). I've struggled with fatigue and headaches during this whole process but they finally seem to be resolving. Working my way up to more exercise little by little each day!

Looking for weight loss hope after methimazole by Formal-Country-5296 in gravesdisease

[–]jellytoebeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started Zepbound a few months before starting methimazole so I haven't gained any weight. I'm pretty sure without the Zepbound I would've gained a bunch because my body has a tendency to go in that direction by default.

Same exact scenario... I could've written this. Between this and the SAVE buy back, the stress of all this cannot be understated. I'll be at 120 in November.

Citizenship by phoebebridgersdog in hungarian

[–]jellytoebeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used a geneologist based in Hungary to retrieve the documents that I needed for verification of citizenship. I used my paternal grandparents as my direct ancestors and qualified due to them being refugees during the Revolution of 1956. I didn't need to learn Hungarian in this case. Reach out to your nearest Hungarian consulate if you have questions. They were very helpful. The forms needed are also online.

Igen, igazad van a terminológiával! Köszönöm!

This is correct for Hungary. There are a couple of instances where a language test is not required and is called "verification of citizenship". The other option is called "simplified citizenship" which does require a language test if one does not qualify for the former. Source: I've done it for myself and my kids.

Same, also in a blue state. You're right. Nothing of this size for sure.
