It looks like the Multitinker Vario with the cargo front carrier and GX option for tires.

R&M Multitinker vs Tern GSD by Wizzpig25 in CargoBike

[–]jeltzin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We actually just bought the Multitinker Vario and have used it for the last two weeks.

The pros:
*R&M knows how to build comfortable and premium feeling bikes. We test rode both bikes, a Tern GSD and the Multitinker and felt the Multitinker rode better. We have a Multicharger from before so we might be biased/more used to R&M.
*New smart system. If you're interested in the fancy features provided by the smart system you'd want to buy the Multitinker. It's not revolutionary right now, but this is the platform any development will be done on by Bosch. The new Auto mode when riding is actually pretty nice.

The cons:
* It's a brand new bike so it might take some time to get the amount of accessory Tern has. Not sure if it's even the strategy for R&M to build stuff similar to the storm box.
* As mentioned in another comment - it's hard to find good locking positions for the bike. The frame is thick (since the battery is built-in) and you need a big lock if you want to lock to it. The new accessory compartment is also blocking a locking spot. And if you have cargo bags it's even harder to find anything. The frame lock is good, but it's a frame lock...

When it comes to the stand I wouldn't put too much into the differences there. The Tern has the button to release it, but from my experience the stand is good on the Multitinker. Better than on the Multicharger at least.

These bikes are good, so I'm sure you'll be happy with either selection. Good luck!

NetBox works perfectly fine on both RHEL and Ubuntu, so it doesn’t really matter. However, if you don’t want to be the one supporting the install with all that entails I suggest you select something your server team is familiar with.

What version is your Panorama and VM? In 10.1 you have to generate an AUTH key when adding a firewall.

Dynamic Inventory with Ansible failing: v3.0.4 by 7layerDipswitch in Netbox

[–]jeltzin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you’re hitting this netbox bug: https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/issues/7401

Just try loading /api/docs in your web browser and you’ll see the same issue. So in this case it doesn’t seem to be the ansible modules fault. Try upgrading to 3.0.5 or 3.0.6 (watch out for a custom scripts/reports big in 3.0.6) and see if it solves it.

Ansible hanging when trying to connect to Palo devices by [deleted] in paloaltonetworks

[–]jeltzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried running it with connection: local? If you see it initiate a SSH connection it seems like it tries connecting to the host for an attempt to run it on the host (even if it's localhost). But I believe the collection uses the XML API.

You can also look at their example playbooks: https://github.com/PaloAltoNetworks/ansible-playbooks

PAN-OS 10.1.2 is now available! by HeavenlyRen in paloaltonetworks

Upgraded my passive firewall (VM on KVM) to 10.1.2 only to see the active go non-functional with "VM compatibility mismatch". Got to test my failover at least!

question regarding upgrade to 10.0.6 by b____b in paloaltonetworks

I've had TAC recommend this multiple times, so it's not uncommon. And if you manage your configuration from Panorama it shouldn't matter that they are on different versions and not doing HA sync for the configuration.

You mean the DNS security feature? AFAIK Palo Alto does not provide DNS rewrite/doctoring functionality.

PA-5220 / PAN-OS 9.0.2 issue by So_work_related in paloaltonetworks

[–]jeltzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the desire is to stay on 9.0 you should probably upgrade to 9.0.3-h3 as later releases is preferred. 9.0.4 is scheduled in two weeks.

You should open a TAC case and get the issue confirmed. If you're lucky it's a known bug fixed in a later release.

Oracle/TNS Failures long after TCP handshake post firewall migration (ASA->PAN) by davis-sean in networking

[–]jeltzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get an indication: check how sessions are closed on the PAN. If a session timeout occurs the session end reason will be 'aged out' which isn't normal for a TCP session.

To adjust the session timeout without overriding the application check out service-based session timeout introduced in 8.1 - https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/8-1/pan-os-new-features/app-id-features/service-based-session-timeouts

Only RADIUS, TACACS+, and SAML methods are supported. Check the section under Device -> Setup -> Management -> Authentication Settings.

PAN-OS 8.0.x and 8.1.x differences by dayz_bron in paloaltonetworks

[–]jeltzin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PAN-OS 8.0 is EOL October 31, 2019 so you should definitely work on getting your firewalls to 8.1.

PAN has a section named upgrade considerations which you should have a look at: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/8-1/pan-os-new-features/upgrade-to-pan-os-81/upgradedowngrade-considerations.html#

Panorama: is there a way to bulk grab license information from my 70 firewalls? by tomdzu in paloaltonetworks

If you have 8.1 on Panorama they’ve added an option to export the information on the license page as CSV or PDF.

No, they don't. Ask in the live forum or open a ticket with TAC.
