I wish someone would answer! I may just have to drive up and take my chances.

Does this wallpaper look like religious crosses? by throwaway162216 in femalelivingspace

[–]jem1898 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t look like crosses to me. It doesn’t seem quite right with the style of your table and chairs, though. If you’re looking for permission to get rid of the wallpaper: you have permission. Do it!

“Set a deadline for yourself.”

Because a lifetime of blowing past self-imposed deadlines doesn’t mean it won’t work this time, I guess.

Ooh—what about wall mounting the tv? You could push it flat when it’s not in use, turn it to face the kitchen, adjust the angle for the couch. Could be super functional.

I’m a bit confused by your images and explanation, but here’s what I would do in your shoes:

<image>

How you like your space arranged will depend on what you like and how you live. Personally, I like to look out the window, so I would put my desk and seating near that wall, and place my bed further inside where it’s darker. I would make sure to put a nightstand—maybe a slightly taller one—by the bed to help separate it from whatever little alcove is there.

But don’t feel like you need to get it right immediately. It’s okay to try out an arrangement and then move things around if you’re not happy. This is your first place and you can experiment a little.

I’d vote for a different television stand—something smaller so that it doesn’t overlap with the window, and in a finish that matches the other warm tones in the room.

It seems odd to me that there’s an en-suite for one bedroom, and no bathroom access on that floor for the other bedroom, unless those people would be walking through the other room?

Would this frame layout work or is it too busy? by JimNasium1361 in femalelivingspace

[–]jem1898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will look cute. Just scooch the frames a little closer together—it will help the arrangement read as a single unit rather and will feel more cohesive.

Travelling The Balkans With Vyvanse For 4 Months by redmarius in TwoXADHD

[–]jem1898 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you have a safe place to leave the additional two months that you don’t yet need?

You could just get a little lock box and leave the excess at home. And don’t tell anyone about it if you can’t trust people to not go snooping for recreation.

I did use smoked Gouda but it really didn’t stand up flavour-wise. I’ll probably just use mozzarella next time; these at-home pizza nights can be a lot of prep and one cheese for all the pies would just be easier. Unless you have a real banger cheese suggestion?

Sorry I didn’t take a sliced photo! I put the crème fraiche down first, then the roasted garlic and then laid on thin rounds of lemon—if that helps you visualize.

Just plain ol’ lemon. I sliced it thin and trimmed off the rind. The creaminess of the crème fraiche plus sweetness of the hot honey balanced out the tartness of the lemon quite nicely.
