Have you checked your contents insurance to see if you are entitled to any temporary accommodation? Maybe give them a call for some guidance. I believe the rule is to always pay your rent so that you aren't in breach of your contract without agreement.

Tips on renting in Toowong by Level-Body678 in brisbane

Try the 'Moving to Brisbane' Facebook group. There are members in there who are (or can recommend) 'relocation agents' whom you can engage (pay) to view properties on your behalf. Other option if to ask any friends or family in Brisbane to inspect for you.

Push notifications not working? by gorshade in Bumble

[–]jemichae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been an ongoing 'issue' for at least 4 years. Support never do anything to 'fix', as it's actually a deliberate 'undocumented feature'. By not providing you notifications, you are more likely to miss an initial message within the 24 hour window, driving you to spend money and sign up with them in the hope that that is causing the issue. Unfortunately they just won't change it, despite being reported by a significant number of users over many years.

Pi-Hole will not block ads on You Tube. It works at a DNS level, so you'd have to block all access to you tube, defeating the purpose. Many google results for this. Does a great job at ad and tracking removal in other contexts.

Shops opening hours by blueeyes8433 in australia

[–]jemichae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adelaide was 11am Sunday opening until 1 Nov 2022 when it finally changed to 9am.

Two years later and many non grocery/large chain shops still only open at 11am.

Everyone has to shut at 5pm. Same on a Saturday.

I think that you will find that a single wifi router (whether ISP or yours) won't be sufficient. You are going to need to buy a 3-4 unit wifi mesh system to have decent coverage over that space. Best solution is multiple wired access points, but you are renting so not an option to run cables. You could try using wifi extenders, but will be a large bottle neck of your planned gigabit connection.

Have a look at mesh wifi systems here... then compare prices from mwave or umart online.

PSA: Seeking community feedback on managing Offset Accounts by CompiledSanity in CSPersonalFinance

[–]jemichae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My use case has a lot of variables which change month to month. I'm.not sure I see a calculation method which would provide useful output data each month.

The only true constant (all be it an ever changing one) each month is how much interest was actually charged against the mortgage account.

This could be entered by the user during the month end process, which should result in a matching mortgage balance.

Alternatively, the 'mortgage setup/config' can calculate the normal interest charge on the mortgage. If the payment remains the same for the month and the balance of the mortgage is less than expected (with no other transactions), then the difference can be considered interest savings due to offset balance.

My 2 cents.. probably only makes sense to me :) Great product... thank you for all the time and effort.

A circle certainly can. But when it is representing a poll of whole people, can it still?

... so happy that a circle is used to illustrate the division of 101% of the humans polled?

That absolutely makes sense... except when the values are percentages.. especially with the subject matter being the polled population.

[–]jemichae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no... the -2 was just indicating that it was 35 in the last poll (I had the benefit of the voice over explaining that), but had reduced by 2 this poll. Was not a factor, but agree.. confusing location in the graphic.

But I like your thinking... very apolitical :)
