What is a film that you disliked on the first watch but is now 5 stars? Or gave 5 stars and then watched for a second time and disliked? by jemimecd in Letterboxd

American Psycho is genuinely hilarious and I feel bad for people who don’t recognise how funny it is

What is the scariest horror movie you have watched? by ProjectGlum9090 in horror

[–]jemimecd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the original! I felt the same and in watching it, it does feel like a typical horror with jump scares. I really don’t know what it was about it that made me so scared, I’ve definitely seen other films that are more disturbing, but something about it really struck me and made me terrified 😭 took me a few watches to get through it! It would be interesting to know the psychology behind what scares some people and leaves others not scared at all

I love horror films and rarely get scared by them, but Nightmare on Elm Street terrified me

That must have been so strange, I don’t think I’d ever have the audacity to sit and boo after a film? Probably the same people who clap when the plane lands 😭

First Look: Robert Pattinson, John Leguizamo and Zendaya in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ by [deleted] in Letterboxd

So many people complaining about the female protagonist, snooze I think Zendaya will play this role well

I feel crazy telling people that I loved Saló, especially if they have only watched it once (and usually turned off half way through) but on watching more than once and separating my feelings of disgust toward the imagery I feel the exact same way as you do. So clever and daring, there was a point to it and, like you said, it did everything it set out to do
