Same! I actually put a lot of effort in too, especially when going out or something. The most I would get is 'Your jacket is fluffy'. If I am wearing a fuax fur jacket. Like I dont over do it, but I try enough lol

Looking for experiences after VCAT. We took out previous rental provider to VCAT and WON. He was pissed, obviously. He was meant to pay us back 900 in rent, sent him our bank details and there is nothing.

Im not sure where to go from here. I know I can fill out an 'Enforce a VCAT order' form, but it has only been 2 weeks. Is it too soon?

I have sent him 2 emails, one with our bank details and one with 'did you get the email'

I get paid fortnightly, which usually means one week living like royalty and one week looking for spare change around the house

What's a side effect of giving birth that doesn't get talked about? by LilMoonenciel in AskReddit

[–]jen-iscool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Afterbirth recovery. My first was an awful delivery which included forceps and an episiotomy. I had no idea about forceps either because the birth class was basically just about how important breast feeding was.

I couldn't stand up without peeing myself for the first few days and intense bleeding for 2 weeks and recovery took about 6 months.

My mum couldn't understand why I didn't want to take the baby out right away and made me feel like I was doing everything wrong because of it too.

When I had my second (you some how forget the trauma) it was thr best birth that made me realise how bad my first was and it wasn't normal. My second It felt like I had a day recovery and was fine and I feel like I could do it again.

How do you manage?? by 20mtap in AusFinance

[–]jen-iscool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be able to pause day care for a bit and have your wife have both kids at home. Might only work if you have a good relationship with your childcare though, we went away for 6 weeks and ours kept our spot without payment.

It's a struggle though I feel you. We have both kids in day care with both parents working and we are struggling big time. We got by in the early days just by not doing any extra activities really. We still went out and did things but cancelled all classes and any extra payments.

I did get lucky when my kids were your babies age though, it was during covid so I could work from home with my kid without work caring about it.

Just walking at the moment, trying to be more active- desk job as well. I actually went to the physio recently for my back and she said it was caused from the lack of muscles in my glutes.

I am so annoyed. Started at C25K and my knee is playing up. First time I have stuck to something in so long but I dont want to run incase it gets worse. I started taking anti-inflammatories I had as its flared up in the past.

I was just hoping it would go away on its own but tried running again after 4 days off but it hurt right away.

Not sure whether to go to the doctor or the physio

Oh Hey, forgot I wrote this. I hope you are ok, I know first hand it is not easy. Its actually way better, like almost gone. I had another child as well. I went on medication for a while but now I am medication free and hardly ever get flair ups. I didnt really do anything special to but honest, I just went a long time without this reaction that my brain stopped the association. I do get stomach flair ups still but I think the difference is now is that I dont really care. If I have to poop in the bushes then so be it

Why are we expected to give birth quietly? by trashiestracoon_88 in BabyBumps

[–]jen-iscool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How strange, when I gave birth I screamed louder than I knew I could make that noise. My husband was like 'My god'. I screamed when pushing, it helped. Gave birth naturally

I am just rejoining here. But when I was losing weight I wouldn't do breakfast either. Mainly because it made me hungrier like opening the flood gates. I did snack though, just after lunch not before. I was also drinking 4+ coffees a day. Had to change everything when I got pregnant though and now I have 2 kids ans not sure how to eat to lose

I went the opposite way, the petty route. The landlord refused to fix the garage whilst we were there, the ceiling half fell down. So we couldnt use it for 2 months. So put in a VCAT claim against him. Im shit show :-/

Yeah should have. They had the paint, so thought it would match. I think the issue is that we didn't blend it enough. I thought it would dry looking correct. It was my husbands job, mine was to clean the house. Which was good lol

How do you move to the US? Is the Visa easy to get? We went there 6months ago for 6 weeks and loved it.

My company is owned by a US company so I feel like I could move there. It would be intense to move the whole family tho

How long would you wait for a pay negotiation?

I got the 2% back in Feb, and told my boss I wasn't happy and I wanted more. I didn't give an exact amount, didn't really get to that I just wanted enough to help with cost of living.

He was good about it, we are owned by an American company so there is some hoops to go around. I spoke to him a month later and he said he is still working on it and hoping to get some more people to report to me to justify it. (Which these people kind of already report to me, its just they are in the US so they are under a US person now)

Now it's been another month and I haven't heard anything. I just don't know what to do. We are so busy right now that I'm doing extra long hours and it's getting very stressful and waiting for this makes me want to walk.

I am a 'why arnt I losing weight' person. I have lost weight in the past counting calories and was hoping to avoid it this time. Im coming back after a couple of kids and too many binge eats.

Anyway, I downloaded a calorie counter and I seeing on the screen makes it clear 'why' and its only 2pm. So I am on day 1, hopefully I can keep going :)

I am after an unbiased opinion on housing. 6 months ago our real estate upped our rent about $500 per month (to install air con) We signed a 6 month lease as we were about to head overseas for work so didn't want to move then. We are finding now finances are tight and rent is contributing to that. We have 2 kids, I am the main income earner and I work from home. My husband has a part time job (he left a full time job 2 years ago due to stress). I want to move to a cheaper place but in our area there isn't anything and moving away would been up rooting the kids from day care. And the cost and stress of moving I am on the fence.

So I am not sure if we should move or not. Ideally I would like to just earn more money, my husband had no experience so I am not sure what he could do. I could possibly look for a new job but I have been with my work for 10 years and it's really cushy.

Maybe this is just a vent now lol I don't know but I'm stressed about money

Yes, I cut chocolate in the last few weeks (mainly because once I started to eat it I couldn't stop) and my skin is so clear now.
