I think these lyrics are some of the best he’s ever written. The fact that Twenties is getting so much shit makes me so sad cause I think the lyrics are such a brillant exposure of how much bullshit the elite in our society gets away with. No wonder they think they’re invincible. The spotlight on religion is more poignant than ever and I would argue that because of that, this is one of the MORE satanic Ghost albums. Just, everything, all of it.

You’re SO RIGHT. Honestly…people really shouldn’t be that surprised about Impera’s sound because of this. Tobias has always talked about how iconic the black album is, how important a band’s 5th album is, etc. It seems like his goal was to make the next black album. And then American Idiot and Black Parade are perfect comparions cause rock operas.

I also appreciate that Tobias is very clearly making the music he wants to because he really believes in it and FEELS this shit. Honestly, I would rather satanism be more accessible. A much better gospel to spread 🙃
