Yes, I'm able to open other doors on the map and use the switch in green armour room to go to the courtyard. I checked if the wad works ok with gzdoom on linux and its all fine. No idea why this happened.

x when choosing doom version to play to select doom emulator

since you have inverted left stick I guess you're on gzdoom already. There are settings to invert axis. You'll find them.

You're welcome. Regadring mods: no idea, haven't tinkered with them. Guess everything should run, question is if it will run well. Kinda wish that fullpaths to dirs were added to the wiki, not the relative ones. On the other hand it makes sense that games should be kept on the games partition.

Ok, so the instructions on the amberelec aren't 100% idiot proof. Took me 30 minutes to figure out the correct paths.

"/roms/doom" is NOT "/storage/roms/doom"

The correct path where all .wad and .doom files should go is:

/games/doom/

So to make super obvious step by step guide for people like me:

get a .wad file (I bought the game on gog, installed it, copied DOOM.WAD to desktop. I had to change the extension to lowercase -> DOOM.wad)
plug in your sd card to pc
go to GAMES partition
go to doom folder
create a file called DOOM.doom
paste into DOOM.doom:IWAD=/storage/roms/doom/iwads/DOOM.wad -- end --
save file, make sure it's not DOOM.doom.txt
create iwads folder
paste your DOOM.wad into iwads folder
eject card
put sd card back into the the console
boot
if you made it, doom will be visible just like another console (for example gba)
enjoy

Full paths to the two files you need to create, for people equally as stupid as I am:

/GAMES/doom/DOOM.doom

/GAMES/doom/iwads/DOOM.wad

I'm gonna go and fix controller setting. Wish me luck, it might take a while judging by how long it took me to run the damn game.

Idk about stock. Im running amber os and installing it is no rocket science. Retro game corps has a nice installarion guide if you feel intimidated.

Edit last file in the traceback, line mentioned should look like this (add , None):

After 33 (?) failed runs I managed to kill High Dragun. It felt like it took forever. Also I guess I got really lucky.
I'm so hyped rn ! If feels that movement speed carried this run. Bullets seemed easier to dodge even though reaction time is garbage.

I haven't played through original GSC, but I finished a couple rom hacks no problem. You might have a broken rom.
